Cortina d'Ampezzo

Cortina risulta nell'immaginario il più bel paese delle Dolomiti e probabilmente ciò è determinato dalla splendida cornice di monti che la circondano: Cinque Torri, Cristallo, Tofana di Rozes per ricordarne alcuni. Nella realtà il paese rimane fermo agli anni d'oro in cui era frequentato da grandi industriali e personaggi del jet set e andrebbe assolutamente rimodernato.

Day ski trip to Cortina d Ampezzo.With a Dolomiti Superski passport, we decided to diversify our wonderful ski holiday in the Italian Dolomite Alps on a day trip to the Cortina d Ampezzo ski area. The town of Alta Badia, where we stayed, is about 35 kilometers from Cortina d Ampezzo, so the journey is not long. However, several serpentines climbed the mountain several times and descended, so they did not accelerate too much. We did not explore this beautiful town as our goal was to ski on the Cortina d Ampezzo ski slopes and admire the great views. We were really lucky with the weather and we were pampered by sunny and dry air with a little cold and blue sky without any clouds all week, so it was amazing. The Cortina d Ampezzo ski slopes are excellent, adapted to different levels of skiing and well prepared and maintained, as is the case in almost all the Dolomites. We had a good day at the Cortina d Ampezzo ski slopes, which have remained in our memory. We will definitely visit these ski slopes and beautiful town again.
