I Love It School

My objective was to learn basic Italien for traveling and real life topics, such as to go shopping, asking the way, etc. Laura, one of the co-owners in charge of marketing and administration, is doing an excellent job in getting people to come to Orvieto, organizing accommodation and creating activities.I booked a beginner`s course of 9 days and some private lessons. The school is getting very few students, I was the only one in class. Note that the school will automatically reduce the number of hours, if they don`t have enough students.Teaching quality was varing, depending on the daily (sometimes negative) mood of the teacher. My teacher - also a co-owner - was often late, up to 90 minutes. When I addressed this, I found myself beeing accused for not understanding family problems. Topics and vocabulary you need to know to get around in Italy and for traveling were rarly addressed in the class. Don`t ask for the CD acompaning the book to studying at home, because this will be misunderstood as questioning the quality of teaching. It saves time and nerves to secretly order it on amazon. (I was given the old workbook of 2005 - make sure you don`t order a more recent edition, e.g. the newer 2013 edition.)My ablility to speak Italian after this course was lower than after similar courses studying Spanish or French. So, to learn Italian, it is probably worth checking if you want to study somewhere else.

I have been taking an Italian course since March 2016. Before starting the course, I had to ask them a lot of documents to get visa because they haven't had Korean students before..All the staff, especially Laura helped me a lot and I really appreciate her consideration and patience so I could start my course without any problem!Teachers are very friendly and professional. I'm enjoying my lesson a lot. They are always willing to correct my mistakes even when we are not in the class and trying to let me approach with many different methods so I can keep my interest to learn the language.There is also Italian cooking class which is very interesting. You can learn many words and expressions regarding foods and cooking as well!Orvieto is a small city but if you are also interested Italian culture and life style, it is perfect place to choose!
