Quiet place for people to talk, the place only opens from 7 to 11. The food serving is very little, so if you are hungry plan for a three or four course meal. Very good and frienly services.

Il primo ristorante vietnamita di Roma. Aperto nel 1975, a conduzione familiare, lavora solo a cena. Il ristorante è piccolo e offre pochi coperti, ma in compenso il proprietario (Tomas) si prende cura dei suoi ospiti, spiegando minuziosamente pietanze e preparazioni e dando ottimo suggerimenti.Da assaggiare il misto di involtini e i ravioli. Interessante anche la proposta del proprietario per la portata principale: due tipi di riso per accompagnare anatra, pesce persico e pollo al curry con cocco, tutto al centro in condivisione.Se pensate di visitare la Thailandia, fatevi consigliare da Tomas...ne sa davvero tante!Prezzo più che onesto

Hidden gem!! Had the Pho and Bun thit cha gio, authentic and full of flavor. A must eat!! Nice decor and cold air conditioning.

Fantastica la posizione nel cuore di Roma. Piatti ottimi: delicatezza e gusto della tradizione vietnamita. Parlando in romano con il proprietario, si capisce che è gestito con amore da due generazioni. Ambiente molto riservato e minimal, per fortuna non kitch come molti dei ristoranti orientali moderni.

5 stelle perché sui vietnamiti a Roma è l'unico che conosco e la cucina è buona. Leggera con un tocco di floreale e fresco e si distingue bene dalla cinese. Ottimo il budino di banana, fresco e leggero. Gli antipasti molto gradevoli, sono integrati inscindibilmente con le salse, senza le quali diventano piatti anonimi. Ottimo il primo a base di vermicelli, manzo e roll fritti e arachidi sbriciolate con una salsa leggera in cui si percepisce il lemongrass. Pur avvicinandosi quest'ultimo piatto alle composizioni di Sapori thailandesi se ne dissocia ampiamente per l'assenza di latte di cocco e peperoncino e per la presenza di roll fritti. Servizio attento ed affettuoso che cerca di studiare il cliente nelle sue reazioni emotive

I must say that this was my first time experiencing some Vietnamese food, but 5 stars are not enough to describe what an experience eating at Thien Kim has been. The leady that grant us has been increadibly gently and explain us history behind some dishes and how the Vietnamese cousine has spread around the world. Great people and great quality of food, a must when visiting Rome!!

Premesso che la cucina vietnamita ha sapori particolari, diversi dalle altre cucine asiatiche, e potrebbe non piacere a tutti, se la si vuole assaporare qui si farà un'ottima esperienza. I piatti sono tutti di alta qualità, dagli antipasti al dessert. Apprezzabile anche il fatto che il menu spiega accuratamente i piatti, dai nomi ovviamente incomprensibili; comunque il personale è molto cortese e ci ha spiegato i piatti in dettaglio e consigliato i giusti abbinamenti.

I can't speak to the other dishes, but I have to say this was an incredibly disappointing experience. I had a real craving for Pho after a month abroad, and thought I could satisfy it here. A palm sized amount of noodles, couple of lone pieces of meat, several bean sprouts, and watery broth in a tiny bowl is what the Pho was here for ~15€! Coming from Canada where you can get triple the food for half the price, this was definitely not worth it at all. If you're craving Pho, this is most definitely not the place.

I tried Thien Kim two times before and it was very good back then. This time I cam back they were more crowded due to connection with Vietnamese tours. The portion is smaller and the food is less delicious, even the typical dish like Pho bo has no taste at all. The rice and side dish are acceptable. Hope they focus more on quality rather than quantity.

Cute small place. Ok. Vietnamese food. Gently flavored, unlike Californian real virtnamese food. A Sweet vietnamese lady who spoke italian but not English. On Yelp, it says they are closed on Monday but i was glad that they were actually open. Tired of pasta and pizza, we needed a little change. The rice paper roll is warm and square. Not a roll, with very little stuffing.. flambe dessert
