Hotel L'Orologio Venezia

Hotel L'Orologio Venezia
Venice, what can I say? I live in a tourist town and while it poses it's issues, it's nothing compared to the volume of tourists in venice. That being said, this hotel presents a nice base to walk from, and an even better place to come home to, while here. Updated and modern in a city of antiquity. Great breakfast, nice bar to have an afternoon Negroni or Aperol Spritz... Walk anywhere and still out of the way. 5 minutes from Rialto bridge makes it a no brainer. Close to gondola rides and vaporetto stops too. Not as high profile as some on the Grand Canal, but that wasn't what I wanted. Will come back.

Great location being right on the Grand Canal and close to the Rialto Bridge. However, not too close. It is in that sweet spot of being close to the chaos but still in a quite spot.Sitting out in front of the hotel enjoying a cocktail was our favorite nightly activity. The breakfast every morning was tasty and offered a great variety. The staff was super friendly and were always willing to offer suggestions and directions. The rooms were on the small side but still comfortable. Plenty of amenities. The only real issue was how the doors worked. It took two of us with precision timing to get the right method of key against the fob and opening the door. We started with about a 10% success rate and even needed the bellman’s help. By the time we left, we sort of had it down. It was funny to hear over breakfast the other people complain about the same thing.

We did like it. The location is quiet and around 20 minutes walk from St Marks Square. The food is however, perhaps not the best value. Cheese plate for €15 with two small portions of types of cheese and a small amount of a sauce - I thought that was a bit too much but the barman was very helpful bringing some crackers and a few extra slices of cheese. One service star lost because of a tiny issue with a room key. When we reported it, the person behind reception checked it and said it was okay and offered to send someone up to assist - we already had a working key so we knew how to use the lock. I tested the second key again and still couldn't get in the room. He really should have said sorry about that

Perfect location on the canal and close to Rialto Bridge. Staff is very helpful and great breakfast every morning. Our first room was amazing, we loved it. Unfortunately our shower had drainage issues so we got moved to another room. We did not like that room but hotel was fully booked. The L’Orologio made everything right though. We walked to everything, Rialto Bridge, St. Mark’s Square, Doge Palace, shopping, restaurants. Used their one time complimentary taxi service to Murano (skip Murano and go to Burano, so much better) and had a fun day on the islands. Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here whenever we return to Venice.

Soggiorno di una notte in questo hotel.Posizione perfetta nelle vicinanze del ponte di Rialto e alla zona mercato servita da bacari e ristoranti di qualità. Segnalo in particolare l’Antica Trattoria Poste Vecie. Frigorifero e cassaforte.La colazione è varia ed abbondante. Il personale accogliente e cordiale.La prossima volta a Venezia tornerò sicuramente qui come prima scelta.

I had a hard time narrowing down where to stay but I am so glad I picked this hotel. It’s in the perfect location, with grand canal views and a bit tucked away from all of the tourist. The rooms are also more on the modern side which I like when traveling abroad. The check-in was fast and the breakfast was delicious with great service. 10/10 recommend this hotel for your stay in Venice.

Hotel L'Orologio Venezia
Nice quiet location by the fish market and some nice cafes. All the locals approved of this hotel and the area. They gave us an upgrade for a small fee and it was a lovely room with views of the canal. Friendly attentive wait staff in the morning and concierge was very helpful.
