The food is tasty, looks appetizing, and the staff is polite. We were offered free “Aperol” spritz, it was very low concentrated but it was free so it’s nice.We liked this place so we visited it twice while being in Venice.I liked the bathroom too, it was very clean, beautiful and aesthetic.The only thing I didn’t like was tiramisu, it was frozen, it was frozen at the other restaurant too, I think it’s a sin to serve it frozen in the place “where tiramisu was born”. I still give “Alla fonte” a 5 because I believe they can improve it.

Very friendly service, we felt so welcome and looked after. We had grilled chicken, grilled fish and grilled vegetables - all great. Nice atmosphere away a little from the super-busy areas but only a minute extra walk. Recommended to come here.

The lasagna was unbelievably delicious and the bruschetta was good as well. The bread was toasted just right to match the fresh tomatoes and mozzarella and garnish. The other plate was the calamari pasta made with a red sauce instead of the traditional white sauce and it might have been the best tasting item on the menu! The house red wine was very good as well, a great alternative to paying for a more expensive bottle that might not taste as good. The only reason it was not 5 stars was possible the waiter and his service skills. His demeanor was a bit strong and off beat. More attention needs to be given to that area to boost the experience here.

This place is lovely because of its location which is located in allayway. We preferred here in order to eat margherita because of the prices. And it was delicious.

Poco lontano da San Marco ma in zona tranquilla, siamo arrivati Alla fonte per caso per pranzo e abbiamo mangiato molto bene. Servizio rapido e cortese, porzioni abbondanti e cibo molto saporito. Consigliato!

Overall Very very poor!1. Complementary stale bread rolls that your dog wouldn’t eat. I’ve seen what other Italian restaurants offer! But it’s complementary! So no probs.. don’t eat it2. Red wine very very cold .. not chilled like really cold and tastes like the cheapest wine you can ever buy! So stick to water and yeah don’t give them a feedback because the waiter will start arguing with you. Rude!3. Paid 35 Euros for a frozen chewy lobster pasta that took an hour to cook. Yet still came out chewy like a rubber and lacked real flavours!I’ve eaten in so many places around Italy but this is pretty bad tbh.

IT wasonenif the best restaurants experiences ever while travelling. The staff was friendly and always up for a good laugh, the service absolutely fabulous and the food super delicious!! We walked in into another restaurant prior to Alla Fonte and they didn't have a table for six. We are so happy it turned out that way and we were treated like family here.

We visited this restaurant three times because the food is good.Unfortunately on the third visit we were charged almost double for the wine we ordered, charged 6 euros for water we never received and they brought the wrong main course.The way they dealt with it was totally unprofessional and really rude, hence the poor review..The food is fine and the staff are lovely but don't question the bill if it's wrong because the owner turns into Basil Faulty.
