Barbialla Nuova

Beautiful surroundings and lovely farmhouses in the middle of the Tuscan countryside. Barbialla offers truffle hunts with a guide. We recommend this, since the guide could tell a lot about truffles and nature. It also gives you the opportunity to explore the terrain, which is very nice.

We stayed at Barbialla Nuova for our honeymoon in 2007. It was great then, it is exponentially greater now. We went back this year and it's clear they put a lot of work in creating even more comfort for their guests. The combination of authentic agriturismo with the luxury of a pool and the great accommodation is unique. The hosts, Anouk and Martha, were very welcoming and always ready to help. We''ll be back!

We had a fantastic time at Fattoria Barbialla Nuova. The location is just breathtaking with the best views of the Tuscan countryside. You have peaceful, rural surroundings (we saw deer, falcons, wild boar and badgers) with the added benefits of being within close proximity to Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Siena and San Gimignamo. The accommodation is rustic and in keeping with the surroundings. What made our holiday so special though was the amazing service from our hosts. They went above and beyond to make our holiday special with some great recommendations. Nothing was too much trouble. We particularly recommend having the Chef at home service with Serenella, a very talented Italian chef. The meal was amazing with enough left overs to keep us going for a few days afterwards as well. Highly recommended.

We had a great stay at Barbialla, the place is calming and the facilities, the sourrounding and the pool were super nice. The host, Martha was very welcoming - we will definitely come back!

An absolutely incredible trip. The farm absolutely blew our minds and we had such a great time!

We had little idea what to expect when we first pulled up to Barbialla Nuova. I'll admit that we had been less than thorough in our research, but we were surprised to find a young (completely fluent in English!) couple in charge. We were also surprised to find out that we couldn't walk to our apartment, but had to drive more than a kilometer down a dusty road to get to the house.And thank goodness.Coming from the city, we dream about open spaces, rolling hills, silence, nature! Barbialla was able to offer just that, plus a touch of polish. The house, Brentina, was in the midst of the woods but lovingly cared for. The apartment was effortlessly stylish and pleasantly rustic. No frills and no fuss. Needless to say, we've been back more than once since then.When you add up simplicity, gorgeous nature and a happy family, you get one excellent - and real - vacation.
