Delicious Bologna - Bologna Food Tour

We had a fantastic tour with Mattia in Bologna! It was just the right combination of walking and food/wine tasting. The tour was carefully curated to taste the right foods at the right time at wonderful cafes, shops and restaurants. It was a real treat to see the pasta being made by hand then having the same pasta for lunch. Mattia was a wonderful host and clearly very proud to share some of the highlights of his city with us.

We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour with Mattia. He explained all of the delicious food in great detail as well as offering extra information on various areas of Bologna. It was fascinating to actually see the tortellini making process and then to indulge in it swimming in broth later. We ended the tour with happy, full bellies (my personal fave was the lasagna). I highly recommend this tour.

Loved loved loved this tour! I am a foodie and knew that we HAD to do a food tour in Bologna. The only issue was (if you can call it an issue!) is that there are so many different food tour options out there and I did not want to choose a 'wrong' one. So I spent hours and hours (literally!) researching and comparing different tour companies, had a Pros an Cons things going for each one and after much deliberation I chose this one and so glad I did. It was some of the most fun we've had on the trip! Mattia is absolutely wonderful - he took us to great places and made the whole experience so much fun. I love that the groups are very small - we only had 7 people on the tour and we loved chatting up with everybody. There was so much food - we started with little breakfast, then had all kinds of delish meats at an osteria and then had a full lunch (three different types of pasta!) and a gelato. I cannot say enough great things about Mattia and this company and if you are looking for a tour in Bologna don't spend hours doing research - just book this one!

We had a fantastic time on the tour. The food was incredible and our guide, Mattia, was very passionate about the food in Emilia Romagna and sharing his experience with others. He’s the owner/operator, and nailed it. I would easily recommend this tour to anyone I know who visits Bologna.

Mattia was an excellent guide, and the tour itself is exactly what we were looking in a food tour. We got to know and try all of the foods native to the region, including how to ensure you are buying good quality products. The food itself was AMAZING - good quality coffee, the best gelato in Italy, and tortellini in broth (that has since convinced me that’s the only way to eat tortellini). Would highly recommend to anyone looking to taste and learn all about great tasting food native to Bologna.

This is the most wonderful way to experience Bologna. We did the night fall tour with Mattia. He was knowledgeable and passionate about his city. We toured lovely places we would not have found on our own. A lovely experience and highly recommend. And, of course the food- amazing ☺️

History, culture, and plenty of legendary stories. The food was fantastic with perfectly sized portions. Best of all, our family of four truly enjoyed getting to know the rest of our group. By the end we were dispersed among the table and toasting our good food and company. Thank you Delicious Bologna, we will be back!

Best tour group in Bologna! Very knowledgeable and fun! Riccardo was our incredible guide and Luca was our awesome driver for the day. We had a full day visiting the best makers of Parmigiano Reggiano (the King of Cheese), wine with snacks (one of the top 50 young winemakers in the world), and Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena DOP (black gold).You definitely want to book this ahead of time, as they only allow up to 8 people, which is perfect, so you can get quality time with the other guests, hosts, and guide.We would absolutely use them again and recommend them to everyone traveling to Bologna.
