Magnifique!

Very challenging walk with some parts extremely steep and requiring chains to aid going up or down. Plenty of red dots painted at frequent intervals to guide us along the route. Not for the inexperienced or faint hearted but amazing views so totally worth it! Only issue to note were the metal bars protruding from the ground, possibly to act as hand holds or keep rocks in place, that could also make an injury from a fall more problematic…

Das Wandergebiet rund um den Monte Solaro ist ein echter Geheimtipp. Während die Touristenstraßen komplett überquillen ist man hier die meiste Zeit gänzlich allein unterwegs. Wir sind vom Solaro nach Capri abgestiegen. Während der Wanderung bieten sich immer wieder spektakuläre Aussichten vor allem in Richtung des Marina Piccola, wohin die Felswände senkrecht abfallen. Festes Schuhwerk ist auf der Wanderung jedoch zwingend erforderlich. Turnschuhe sind mindestens Plicht, Wanderschuhe wären noch besser, insbesondere wenn man vorhat den Passetiello für den Abstieg zu verwenden, wo durchaus auch mal die Hände zum Einsatz kommen müssen, auch wenn es eigentlich keine wirklich ausgesetzten Passagen gibt.

Hiking trail with stunning views. If you're an experienced hiker or like challenges, this is a great hike! Unlike other paths you may take up the mountains of Capri, this one does not have stairs, but mostly consists of narrow forest paths of rocks and dirt.As to the difficulty of the hike, whether one goes down or up, I'd say the path itself is highly demanding. My friend and I who descended this trail are seasoned hikers from Norway and we both still found it particularly challenging. It has certain extremely steep parts where you need to be very careful not to slip, as well as one or two places where you actually need to climb. Still, if you're up for hike of a slightly higher difficulty, I'd definitely recommend this trail (:
