What a wonderful experience!!! We had Federica as our guide and I couldn't speak more highly of her. The tour was educational but not dry at all. She shared tons of really interesting facts not only about the history of Venice, but also about wha Venice today is like for locals. Plus, she gave us a ton of suggestions on things to do, eat and drink while in Venice. All of that AND she gave us an extra half out for free because she really wanted to take us to a specific bar for cicchetti and wine.EXCELLENT ALL AROUND!!!

Federica was a very knowledgable guide who knew about both the art and history of the various sites. She also was very prudent in the route she chose to take us around so we would get to benefit from different closing times. We saw Schiavoni, Zaccaria, San Marco and then the Contadini del Bavolo. Venice is lovely with less tourists right now because of COVID so a great time to visit and take a tour!

We enjoyed the walking and boat tours with Federica in Venice. She has tons of knowledge and conveys it in easy to understand fashion and is always open to questions along the tour!

We spent four wonderful hours exploring Venice with Federica Chiuch on Monday, October 28th, 2019. We were able to plan our own custom tour so as to avoid visiting sights that we had seen previously. Federica has an intense passion for all things Venetian and her knowledge of the history, art and culture of Venice is extraordinary. She was able to offer fascinating insights about each place we visited. These added such context and dimension to the tour that I now have a much greater appreciation for Venice than I did before. Federica's is a wonderful tour guide, full of warmth and Venetian charisma. Her historical knowledge of the city and its many many must see sites and neighbourhoods is remarkable, while still making it fun as we wondered Venice's streets and canal crossings with the best views! During our walk she left us with many more ideas for places to see and visit and eat! We couldn’t have wished for more! My family had an absolutely fantastic tour with Federica Chiuch of Discovering Venice—it was the highlight of our stay in Venice. Federica was a joy to spend time with—extremely knowledgeable about both the history and art of Venice. She covered big topics and pointed out small, but fascinating points of interest. She made a special effort to keep our 10-year-old child engaged.In addition to the great substance of the tour, Federica did an incredible job on the logistics. It was one of the hottest days of the year in Venice, so she re-ordered our schedule to put the boat tour first, before the sun got too hot. She managed our visit to the basilica for the one hour when the main lights were on, which allowed for better viewing. When we needed a break for lunch, she even found us the one air-conditioned room in the museum cafe!Federica was well worth it, and we highly recommend her!

On 10 Aug, we had a 3-hour private walking tour with Federica, which was highly enjoyable and interesting despite the heat that day. Federica was friendly, engaging as well as being considerate as she was happy to go at a more sedate pace given that our party included my elderly parents. It was most helpful and appreciated that she also organised a taxi to pick us up from the cruise terminal as well as to take us to the airport after the walking tour.Being a native of Venice, she knew a lot about the history of the buildings and the era they were built in. She also took us on a route which was off the usual tourist tracks which was more interesting and finishing off in St Mark's Square and at the Rialto Bridge.We are very happy to recommend Federica and her agency to anyone looking for a private walking tour of Venice.
