The Social Hub Bologna

It was an amazing experience! The location is great, 3 min from the train station. We didn't have any problems with getting there.Rooms were spacious, clean and modern.Other amenities 10/10. The pool is awesome. Make sure to leave some time in your agenda to hang out there. The biggest advantage is the stuff. Always nice and helpful. They helped us order a taxi to the airport.I'm sure that I'll be back to the Social Hub :)

The location: perfect!! If you take a plane / trains, this place is for you.The service: everyone here was so nice and helpful. (They speak English as well.) There are laundry rooms, gyms, and some other fun places inside the hotel.Food: It's amazing!! I didn't try the breakfast but their food and coffee were great! The room: it's super clean and cozy. The only problem i had here was noise from other rooms / outside. Maybe the room wall is not enough to shut down the noise. (I woke up around 3am since some students were talking loudly.)Overall, it was a fantastic place :))

Meraviglioso!

We are a family with two kids. We stayed two nights in the hotel. We arrived the hotel during a heat wave in Bologna. Unfortunately, we had to wait longer than 30 minutes for self check in. There were 25 people in the lobby, waiting to be checked in. I understand the concept of the hotel. However, the self check in doesn't work. First, people don't know how to use the app. It takes time to figure it out. Then it is still very timely action. My family was exhausted to wait in the crowded lobby on a extremely hot day while me checking-in.The another important point is the hygiene. The hotel is over crowded with people and the lobby, corridors, rooms were not clean. There are dusts everywhere. The hotel is certainly understaffed. Also, cleaning cars with dirty towels waited in front of our room all day for some reason. Nobody took them. It was only gone in the next morning.Regarding their bar. It seemed over priced to us. We didn't choose the expensive breakfast in the hotel. Instead we had breakfast outside. There are couple of sweets neighborhood café with a good quality coffee and croissants with a much cheaper price.Around the pool is always over crowded. It is also very messy over there. People order food from outside and their mess stays long on the tables. Gym is small and not well maintained. On top of all, the price of the hotel is very expensive. The rooms were splited with MDF/wooden walls. Someone in the next room were too loud untill 3am. Thanks to paper walls, we could hear all the conversations. We warned the person. But she didn't change her manner.I understand the cool, hype, young wibe the hotel wants to bring. But you can't have it, if you don't give your customers some basic fundamental services properly.I have been in citizenM hotels in Amsterdam and in Taipei with similar concept. It is much cooler than The social hub.Pros: Location, free laundry, gym, large rooms.

A new trendy concept hotel, mix of fancy hotel, student residence and co-working space. The guests are a weird mix of students, nomad workers and traditional travelers, the staff is young and dynamic and the rooms are decorated in original ways, functional yet fancy. And the food is good!

This building is partly a student house and partly a hotel. It is not a 4 stars as a hotel, as they claim to be.The bed is comfortable and the room is provided with black out curtains. But there is an emergency light always on in the room which is annoying. We requested a room with windows overlooking the inside patio to avoid the noise of traffic from the busy streets around.Personnel is kind.Location is great, with the central station being round the corner. The area is safe.Breakfast is very poor and deceiving in terms of quality and selection, especially for vegans. No oat drink. Flies flying over the bread area and the jelly.Smell of sewage can be smelled in the bathroom (third floor), taking a shower is revolting. Sewage can be also smelled on the first floor, far from the toilets.Water pressure and temperature in the shower are not stable, which make it hard to take a shower - you end up burning and freezing yourself repeatedly.Room cleaning standards need to be improved.Nobody picks up the phone at reception.A lot of things to be improved overall, and for the price paid, this is not worth the money as the standards for a 4 stara hotel is simply not there.
