We did the market tour and Tuscany cooking class in Florence. The cooking class was fantastic and we learned how to make traditional pasta, tiramisu, bruschetta along with preparation of the basic ingredients. The kitchen was really nice, air conditioned, good equipment, and super friendly staff. Great way to make friends with other travelers. Only issue is the initial meeting point is not streamlined, no indication as to who to go to. Luckily the various tour guides walked us over to our chef.

Took a pasta cooking class here that we found on Airbnb. It was terrific! And tasty! Francesco, the class teacher/chef was wonderful. Very engaging, super knowledgeable, spoke at least 3 languages. Now I know how to make gnocchi, ravioli, and fettuccine. And mini pizzas.

Came here as part of a corporate event- the chefs were fun to listen to and crack jokes with and the actual cooking portion was helpful in learning some Italian cooking techniques. The food in the end was also very good!

We booked a combined market tour/cooking class with Chefactory through Viator. Despite the good reviews, we had a really disappointing and strange experience. On Viator’s website and the ticket Viator gave us, it said we had a departure time of 9:30. We arrived at the meeting spot at 9:22, only to find that our guide was not there. Other guests that were on our same tour, were given different meeting times (9:45, 9:50…) under a different company name. It was extremely confusing, and the whole time we were forced to walk around and try to figure out what was going on. I’ve never been on a tour with so little information about pickup. We ended up waiting 30 minutes until our guide finally arrived at 10am. Unfortunately, we never received an apology or explanation about all their disorganization. The market tour itself was fine, but it left much to be desired. We couldn’t hear our guide speak, which sort of defeated the purpose of going with a group. By the time we got to the kitchen to cook our meal, the company/ staff had not even prepped the cooking space and food. We then had to wait another 15-20 minutes before cooking even began. By this point it was 12pm, and we decided to leave just due to the messiness of the whole experience. I really wish we had better things to say, because others on Viator and Google seemed to really enjoy their time with Chefactory. However, it was just a draining morning mostly full of waiting and wondering what was going on. I’m not sure if this is Viator or Chefactory’s fault, but please keep this all in mind should you choose to book with them. Lastly, there were 18 people in our group, even though they stated there would be max 15 people per class.Additionally, it seems the owner of this place cannot accept any criticism. I am sure he is a good chef and offers a fun class, but there are issues with the tour that were worth noting. He was extremely rude to me on Google, as well as to patrons who expressed other concerns. Overall extremely disappointing. Also a very low blow to be rude to my mom who was sick and needed to leave after waiting for so long.

Super cool experience. Nice chefs who made it fun learning how to make pasta!

Our experience was amazing! We cooked four course meal that was delicious. Our chef gave us so many essential tips of food preparing. The food smelled so amazing during preparation. Our group was amazing to experience the best wine (we bought some for pleasure in the U.S. ) and food we prepared. Our group was vast in geography from California, Canada, and Mississippi. We devoured our food, drank the wine and ordered more to continue our conversations. The owner was delightful! He had all of his art work displayed in the eating area. He also told us his friend has the winery and made the special label for the cooking school. We enjoyed our chef as you could see his passion for people and cooking. Highly recommend!! We will be back next trip!

Unforgettable Italian Culinary ExperienceMy partner and I had an absolutely delightful experience at this establishment. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. We had the pleasure of meeting other couples from all corners of the globe, as well as larger groups of people, which made for a diverse and enjoyable atmosphere.I highly recommend trying out this culinary adventure, where you'll have the opportunity to learn how to prepare classic Italian dishes from experienced chefs. The best part is, after honing your cooking skills, you get to sit down and savor the fruits of your labor. Paired with delicious red wine and engaging conversation with newfound friends, it was truly a memorable dining experience.A huge thank you to the amazing team for providing such a fantastic and unforgettable time. We cannot wait to come back and explore more of the culinary delights this place has to offer.

Unfortunately very disappointing, even more so as this was supposed to be a highlight/special experience for my 30th birthday.Greta, our guide, was absolutely fantastic and no complaints from our side on how well she ran the tour.But I was really disappointed to see that the cooking class was actually a large group activity, rather than being able to fully cook yourself. For €79 per person!!! €79!!!!!We paid €79 each to cook in groups of 8. One person stirred a sauce pan of cream whilst 7 people watched. One person cooked a few chicken pieces whilst 7 people watched. One person mixed a bowl of tomatoes whilst 7 people watched. It was just SO bizarre and hugely disappointing.All the food was also cooked altogether and so you didn’t get to eat what your personally made… which for example, meant you got much too large, stodgy pieces of gnocchi made by others.Cooking in large groups of people also meant you inevitably had one person in the group who basically did most of the cooking, and barely let anyone have a go or get involved. Not the fault of the cooking school but yet another reason this was such a poor experience due to it being a group activity.It was actually embarrassing how expensive this cooking class was in comparison to the experience gained. Such a shame.All in all, it was day we will remember for all the wrong reasons!
