Masseria Provenzani

The masseria has undoubtedly very good reviews and ratings. But it didn’t reflect at all our stay. The owners were not at all responsive to our questions and sell us something that wasn’t what we expected. The pool was the biggest issue. As we rented the place especially for the pool but it was empty during our whole stay (even if it was told to us that it would be full the day after we arrived). And, among other things, we were quite surprised to find a very primitive bed and mattress in such place. Not the kind in which you get a good night sleep. So the place is beautiful but for sure overrated considering what we expected.

Masseria bellissima, la più autentica fra quelle dove siamo stati in questa vacanza. Sembra di tornare indietro nel tempo e si può immaginare come doveva essere vivere in una masseria. La nostra camera era una di quelle in alto, spaziosa e luminosa, ma aveva bisogno di una buona ristrutturazione. Anche la piscina era da risistemare e gli spazi esterni da tenere un po' più in ordine. Ottima la colazione e gentilissima la signora che se ne occupava.

Sempre una conferma questa meravigliosa masseria a due passi dal mare e comoda per visitare la stupenda Lecce, che si raggiunge comodamente in 20 minuti. Personale cortese e disponibile ... Colazioni fatte in casa al top!!! Ci vediamo l'anno prossimo!!!!

Location meravigliosa che ti porta in un’altra epoca, affascinante e rilassante.Peccato che recentemente ci sia stato un cambio gestione, la masseria é gestita da un’agenzia e manca un po’ la tipicità pugliese, la manutenzione é fatta al minimo ( tavoli esterni poco curati, lettini piscina da sostituire…), colazione buona ma non buonissima, camere belle e pulite ma materassi da rinnovare, angolo cottura pratico ma pentole da sostituire.Masseria con grande potenzialità ma non sviluppata.

Abbiamo avuto il piacere di soggiornare in questa meravigliosa masseria. Tranquillità,pulizia, disponibilità e gentilezza dell host sono i punti vincenti di questa struttura. La Colazione ogni giorno varia e non è mai banale. Torneremo appena possibile. Davide e Vittoria

Our stay there was terrible for different reasons:1. The pool was empty during the length of our stay (they started to clean it the day we arrived.. mid July is a bit late no?!)2. We discovered that there was a WINDOW in our SHOWER! It was connected to the owner office.. so basically they could see us in the shower! (See pic!)3. The bed… we didn’t sleep for 2 days! It was a super hard mattress and every move we had was making horrible noise4. The room smelled bad and wasn’t confortable at all5. The animals they have in the Masseria look so thin I’m not sure they feed them properly! This was very sad!6. The room smell bad and wasn’t confortable at all7. I tried to contact the owners different times to express my concerns but they never replied!8. Ah yes… and they forgot to give my husband’s ID back so once we were at the airport we had to come back (and we called them, they said they were calling back to tell us if they had the ID but actually NEVER did)So you should avoid this place.. I think this place was wonderful some years ago, but our overall experience was horrible!

Honest review: this is a farm stay, not a luxury villa, not a 5 star hotel, it's very rustic, has relaxed amenities, and needs serious TLC. If you arrive knowing this, it's a charming stay. The room did have an old musty smell but it's not bad, it's just an antique. It's clean. And the effort is obvious. The pool needs serious help. It's so beautiful and unique but very under maintained. We still enjoyed a dip and took advantage of the relaxed environment. If there's anything the owners can hear, take care of that pool!! This is a winning feature and you're failing. There are plenty of animals, especially cats, so beware if you're allergic. There's breakfast if you pay a little more. Made with love by the onsite grandma. Staying here is like going back in time. Rustic but touched by a modern hand (bidets, great water pressure, air conditioning...). It doesn't deserve a 1 star unless you were expecting a farm stay" at the Hilton *shrug*. It has the potential to be so much more but it's charming and worthy of a mention."

Location eccellente immersa nel tipico paesaggio salentino fatto di ulivi e da un mare splendido. Masseria incantevole con personale cordiale, discreto e attento alle esigenze degli ospiti che ti fa vivere un bel sogno. Cucina tipica ottima dai sapori naturali. Vacanza da provare e sicuramente per me da ripetere.

Un posto fantastico! Entri e sei fuori dal mondo! Sei immerso nel verde, in una masseria del XVI secolo, ristrutturata con molto gusto rispecchiando l'architettura originale. Puoi passare il tempo tra piscina e passeggiate tra frutteto, bosco e sentieri, in compagnia di gatti, galline tortore dal collare, rondini. Il tutto.sotto lo sguardo.sornione di Chiara un cane di 16 anni proveniente da un avanposto italiano in Afghanistan. Lei sembra dormire....tiene tutto sotto controllo. Personale gentilissimo e cortesissimo pronto a soddisfare ogni esigenza. Ottima la colazione, dolci fatti in casa deliziosissimi....e se avete esigenze alimentari particolari...sarete accontentati! Veramente una bella esperienza. Cercavo un posto per staccare e nello stesso tempo lasciare che I miei figli si dibertissero senza pericoli.....trovato!

Sono stato diverse volte nella meravigliosa Masseria Provenzani, anche in periodi dell'anno non di alta stagione e mi sono sempre trovato immerso in un paradiso di natura e costruito che mi ha rinforzsto l'anima. La masseria è stata oggetto di un attento restauro ed è oggi un vero gioiello del Salento. L'accoglienza familiare e la qualità ruspante dei prodotti serviti ne fanno un luogo dal quale non si vorrebbe mai andare via.
