Fattoria di Poggiopiano Winery

Siamo state a Poggiopiano sabato scorso con mia sorella e mia nipote... a 2 passi da Firenze. Relax totale... un piccolo paradiso. Luogo curato da cui non traspare supponenza ma amore autentico per il proprio lavoro. Nella quota d'ingresso per la piscina è compresa una degustazione di alcuni dei loro vini ed un light lunch di prodotti locali, accompagnato da un calice del vino prescelto. Io che non bevo vino ho avuto un bicchiere di succo di mela delizioso. Il caffè fatto con la moka ci è stato offerto a fine pasto! Le 2 signore che ci hanno accolto sono sorridenti e garbate. La giovane donna è entusiasta, preparata e competente. Raramente si incontra questa passione per il proprio lavoro. Giornata meravigliosa... torneremo presto!

We had a fantastic experience with our winery tour and tasting! Martina was so incredibly knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting and interactive. The wines and pairings were delicious, and the views and environment were absolutely beautiful! If you are staying in Florence but want to “get away” to the countryside for an afternoon, I highly recommend setting up an appointment for a tour and tasting! This visit was a highlight of my trip to Italy!

We had a wonderful experience visiting this family owned and operated winery. We did a tasting which we emailed to reserve a time the day before (keep in mind this was in March during the off season so you may need more planning during peak season), it was very easy to do via email. Additionally, we took the 14A bus from Florence and then walked about 15 minutes up the road, so it was very easy to reach without a vehicle. Many people also rent e-bikes to cycle from town which sounds nice as well. Either way, for a winery and tasting so close and easily accessible from Florence, this was a wonderful experience! Martina was so kind and knowledgeable and made our tasting so informative and enjoyable. Now we get to look forward to more of their wine that we shipped back home! I would highly recommend.

Loved it! We stopped here as the half way point during our e-bike rental out of Florence. The people were were welcoming, the wine and lunch were wonderful, and it was perfect to stop and cool off in the pool before heading back. Very memorable place! Amazing views of the city too!

We stopped by this afternoon as part of our bike tour out of Florence. It was the perfect rest stop. Beautiful views, delicious wine and appetizers, and a wonderful host. It's a little slice of heaven to escape from the rest of the world in.I'm definitely planning on returning and having an extended stay with them in their accommodations.

Beautiful and lovely place. Perfect for a stop during your bike journey. Wine degustation is interesting but very expensive for very small quantity of wine tasting. Also food to share is very expensive.

Ci siamo fermati su consiglio della persona da cui abbiamo noleggiato delle e-bikes a Firenze.I proprietari sono molto amichevoli e ospitali, nonostante non avessimo prenotato ci hanno fatto accomodare in mezzo al verde.Abbiamo ordinato 2 calici di vino di loro produzione e due piatti di assaggini locali - salumi, pecorino e crostini con olio di loro produzione. Tutto delizioso, abbiamo con piacere acquistato una bottiglia d’olio e una di vino da portare a casa.Avessimo avuto più tempo ci saremmo fermati con piacere per la degustazione più tardi nel pomeriggio.-We were recommended to stop at this winery as part of an e-bike tour from Florence.The owners are friendly and welcoming: even though we didn’t have a reservation and the tables were all full, they welcomed us to sit in the green - we couldn’t have asked for anything better!We ordered 2 glasses of their wine and two mixed plates of local charcuterie and cheese, with the typical bread crostini with their own oil. Everything was delicious and we happily bought some wine and oil to take home.Had we had more time we would have gladly stayed for the wine tasting that was happening later during the day.

Great little family winery, terrific people, super wine. We rode e-bikes from Florence (rent them from John @ e-bikesflorence.com !). Elisabetta took great care of us, we had some great wines, meats and cheeses. a super day.
