Great place for a great meal. We had the stuffed Sardine & stuffed Mussel. It was the first time that we had tried either. They were both wonderful and I would recommend that every try them both!

The food and service was amazing and we will be back before we go home! Bacco was our waiter and he was awesome. This was TRUE ITALIAN FOOD!! Pork, fish, salmon and chocolate cake!! Beautiful view as well!!

Location molto bella,con vista sul mare. Il personale è veloce e sorridente, una caratteristica che fa sempre piacerebbe trovare nei locali. Il menù non ha tanta scelta ma abbiamo mangiato bene e le porzioni erano generose. Si sente che gli ingredienti sono fresche. I vini hanno un po' i prezzi alti. Prezzi giusti per il posto,servizio e qualità.

Solid spot for simple, well-prepared local fare. The menu isn’t teaming with offerings- which is a good thing, and thankfully you’re meals don’t show up two minutes after ordering- another good thing. Sea bass filet was excellent and spaghetti straight forward and flavorful- very Italian.Friendly staff, great views.

Great view, fine service, cheap spritzes, good mussels. But generally very overpriced and menu items are mislabelled — the “scampi” was not scampi, but rather head on shrimp, and was therefore grossly overpriced at 22 euros. Our bill even said the Italian word for “shrimp” (gamberetti) meaning they know full well they aren’t serving scampi. Honestly left us feeling sick to our stomachs and scammed — my husband is a seafood expert by trade and knows what he is being served. Go for a drink and a view but skip the food.

In una location splendida, nel meraviglioso parco delle 5 terre, a Monterosso, questo ristorante con terrazze sul mare, non solo vi offrirà uno splendido panorama, ma dei piatti di altissimo livello, cucinati ed impiattati a dovere, con materie prime di ottima qualità. Il titolare, il simpaticissimo Francesco, vi accompagna durante tutta questa esperienza culinaria, con la sua simpatia e loquacità che caratterizza questo angolo di paradiso gustativo. Abbiamo iniziato con un ottimo prosecco e con i muscoli ripieni (cozze) ed un cocktail di gamberetti ed avocado. In seguito abbiamo scelto i ravioli con gamberetti e zucchine, semplicemente eccezionali. A seguire abbiamo mangiato un'orata al limone ed una al forno, veramente squisite. Per concludere un'ottima panna cotta con coulis di fragole, fresca e buonissima. Unica nota dolente la meteo che non ci ha regalato nemmeno un raggio di sole, anzi. Il conto era all'altezza della qualità dei piatti ed, ovviamente, alla location unica ! Esperienza gratificante.

We ate here one night after leaving another restaurant because the treatment was bad and it was the best decision we made all weekend. Il Casello has great food, all homemade by them, the staff is incredibly friendly and they go out of their way to help you, even if you don’t speak italian which isn’t so common everywhere. We had an incredible dinner with direct wine recommendations from the owner and the vive is in this place is amazing, everything you would expect from a beach-side restaurant in Italy: great food, homely people, and smiles everywhere. There was even a birthday on a table nearby and they brought her a cake and sang for her! 10/10 experience!

Assolutamente esperienza da vivere. Poche decine di metri oltre Piazza Garibaldi in direzione levante, si erge la struttura semplice di quello che era il vecchio casello della stazione. Il personale giovanile disponibile e cortese, si respira da subito un’aria schietta e sincera. L’esuberanza e la generosità di Bacco, il titolare, è contagiosa. I piatti ottimi per qualità e quantità. Apprezzato soprattutto lo spaghetto del golfo, con cozze, vongole e polipetti, in un sughetto saporito ma delicato. Cosa dire invece della tagliatella al polpo con uva? Un abbinamento non scontato, che riporta l’eco del mare in una struttura di terra, riuscendo a sposare armonicamente i fondamentali di entrambi. Freschissimo il fritto, dorato e croccante. La tartare di tonno è stata semplicemente perfetta, per equilibrio di odori e fragranza . Chi viene a Monterosso al Mare non può non passare, e fermarsi, al Casello! Buon appetito!
