È stato fantastico conoscere Gioia, è stato fantastico assaggiare vini prelibati, è stato entusiasmante uscire da tre giorni di practice" con l'abilità di cucinare le tipiche pietanze della zona e non solo.Non vedo l'ora di mettere in pratica le mie nuove conoscenze;i miei amici mi saranno molto grati. Gioia's cooking class was one of the highlights of our recent trip to Italy. As a native Venetian, her love and passion for this beautiful city and its food shines throughout the class. Gioia was knowledgeable, friendly and very patient, as she helped the four of us in our private group make tiramisu, pasta (including two kinds of stuffed ravioli), and tomato sauce. A bottle of Prosecco to relax us, and wine with the absolutely delicious meal was also part of the class. We look forward to joining her online cooking course and learning some of her other recipes. As a professional chef, whenever I'm travelling, I'm interested in traditional home-style recipes. At my request, Gioia customized the workshop in a one-on-one experience, teaching me several recipes. I enjoyed the personal interaction, filled with interesting food-related talks. I recommend this experience if you're interested in learning simple, natural family recipes from a local cook.

Wir haben einen Kochkurs gemacht bei dem wir Risotto, Pasta und Tiramisu echt italienisch zu bereitet haben. Es war sehr kurzweilig, interessant und wir haben auch sonst viel über die italienische Kultur gelernt. Wir können es auf alle Fälle sehr empfehlen.

Consiglio a tutti di partecipare alle attività enogastronomiche che organizza la Gioia a Venezia. Gioia è una persona appassionata di cucina e vino, molto professionale, in più é simpatica e socievole. Mi sono trovata molto bene! I cibi, che si preparano nel laboratorio-cucina di Gioia, sono deliziosi e sani, da imparare a fare! Così a casa portiamo non solo i ricordi e le foto della città più bella al mondo, ma anche le esperienze della cucina italiana e veneta di grande valore. Sono quelle che rendono la nostra vitá quotidiana più bella, sensata e speciale, la riempiono di benessere. E in tutto questo vi aiuta la Gioia e i suoi corsi di cucina a Venezia! L'ultima cosa, ma non meno importante da dire é la posizione del posto, dove si impara a cucinare. É un piccolo palazzetto veneziano nel centro storico con una propria terrazza, quindi si lavora, si mangia e si chiacchiera anche al aperto, in un contesto molto piacevole e suggestivo!

What a great cook Gioia is and a wonderful teacher! I cooked with her at her apartment in Venice, and I also have the pleasure of using her online cooking school videos (Accademia di Cucina Italiana) now that I'm at home. I made a delicious creamy risotto following her step-by-step instructions. She demonstrates everything and also explains why to do things (like how to keep the garlic from getting burnt and bitter). Grazie mille, Gioia, I truly enjoyed the time I spent with you!

My husband and I had the pleasure of learning to make tiramisu, gluten free pasta, tomato sauce, and sausage risotto with Gioia. Prior to the cooking class, she was timely in communication and ensuring that I got to experience Venetian cooking despite having a food allergy. Gioia is not only an amazing chef and teacher, but ambassador for Venetia.

Our day with Gioia was truly a joy. She is a great ambassador for her city of birth, and very knowledgeable about its history. We enjoyed conversations on many topics, including the economics of living in a city on water, the blessing and curse associated with Venetians' strong attachment to the past, the best places to enjoy high quality food, and the experiences that would give us more understanding of the real Venice. Moving around the Rialto market, she was able to explain about all of the products, especially the fish, and tell us how they are normally prepared and eaten. We learned about the gondoliers and their beautifully crafted gondolas and so many more things that cannot possibly be conveyed in a review. She is a delight. Gioia is also an excellent teacher. Cooking with nutritious seasonal ingredients is clearly her passion and when she has taught you how to prepare a delicious feast, her passion will become yours. The recipes were easy and memorable, and we will certainly think of her and Venice whenever we make these foods at home. Surely a visit and lesson with Gioia will be one of your most memorable and worthwhile experiences in Venice.
