If you're looking for a buttery-soft, made-to-measure, genuine Italian leather jacket, go to Daniel at Katian!He gave me one of the the best shopping experiences I've ever had. Not at all pushy, friendly, approachable, and he really knows his craft.He was able to understand my body shape simply by looking at me, and what I needed to make a jacket work for me, putting into words the years of clothes not quite fitting me, all without being remotely offensive :)Daniel understood how the details matter, and how to make things work for an individual, such as my jacket being left open (unstitched) at the bottom, to allow it to move properly.He pointed out things he didn't like about the fit on me, and said he'd put them right. Then he took the jacket to his lab and four hours later my jacket was waiting for me, fitting perfectly.Daniel's jackets have won awards, and it shows. I LOVE my jacket, and will definitely go back to Katian if/when I'm thinking of buying another.P.S. His wife, co-owner of the business, makes fantastic bags, hats, and belts, for those interested in items beyond jackets!

Was in Florence a couple months ago searching for a leather piece that would bookend an already phenomenal trip but was struggling to find something of the esteemed quality and reverence that the Italian leather market is renowned for. That is to say, until I stepped foot into Katian.From the bags to the jackets, every piece speaks for itself whilst somehow simultaneously complimenting the others around it haha! These jackets are all original handmade expressions that can come from nowhere besides artist themselves. Though Daniel and Cat are so much more than incredible craftsman or amazing business owners. Do yourself a favor and make Katian a top priority on your itinerary, you wont want to leave.

Walked into Katian after spending a few hours passing by leather stores that didn’t look authentic and I’m so glad I found Katian! One of the owners was there and he was so incredibly helpful and explained how him and his wife make everything by hand. Literally got myself the most beautiful handbag (and all their leather is 100% waterproof). If you are looking for the real deal Florence leather, I highly recommend going here. The designs are beautiful and the owners are amazing!!!!! Will be following on Instagram to keep up with their latest products (since they can also ship overseas).

Danny and Catalina, owners of local Florence leather boutique Katian Boutique, truly are the heart of of the city. The first time I found the store was in 2019, and I spent over an hour inside with Danny and Catalina, who helped me find the perfect leather jacket. Words cannot describe the level of customer service these two provide, and the passion, love, and talent they put into their merchandise. They have customized unique pieces for my family and I, and shipped it all the way to Canada for us. The bond they create with their clients is unmatched and unforgettable. So much so, I returned 4 years later in 2023 to visit their store and reconnect with the owners. If you are visiting Florence, Katian is a must see. This is the Best leather shop in Florence! Each jacket and purse is a one of a kind piece of art work. I had the most beautiful leather coat made for me. The leather feels like butter, the cut is flattering, the lining is so feminine and overall it’s a gorgeous jacket! I will have this jacket forever. The owners are wonderful people and welcome you in like family. I wish I had more time to take them up on a glass of wine together. We stumbled upon Katian Boutique while in Florence shopping for leather products and it ended up being the easiest and best shopping experience! Danny and Catalina are super nice, not pushy in trying to sell you anything, and helpful in picking jackets and accessories that fit you. We didn't have any expectations going in and tried on many jackets until finding the right fit. We ended up purchasing two leather jackets and accessories. One of the jackets didn't fit perfectly so they took all the measurements and made a new jacket and shipped it to us after our trip. I highly recommend coming here for any leather goods!

Skip San Lorenzo and come straight here. The highest quality leather goods I’ve ever seen in Italy. Katian designs are stunning, Daniel the shop owner was incredibly helpful in selecting a jacket for my body type, and the leather is super high quality.You won’t find plastic zippers that will break in a year here or a pushy salesman who just wants you to walk out with anything.I know my purchase here will last a lifetime. Highly recommend coming in if you’re in town.

Beautiful boutique and great customer service. I came to Italy looking for a specific bag and Danny had exactly what I wanted - a braided leather bag! It was obvious Danny and his wife are extremely passionate about what they do and it showed in his work and through his personality. He told me the history of the bag, how it would hold up, etc but was never pushy. Even urged me to think about it for an hour and return. I loved the bag so much I had to have it right then and there. Would recommend to anyone coming to Florence looking for unique leather items and personable service. Thank you Danny! ◡̈
