Villa Franchini

My fiancé and I found Villa Franchini via Instagram and with the occasion of a holiday around the area we decided to go and see it. The photos do not give it justice! It is truly spectacular! And the people who manage it were lovely and helpful. So we decided to have our wedding there. We just felt like we were part of the real Tuscan countryside and the experience of staying in this beautiful villa made us appreciate the history and the culture behind it. We had our ceremony in the little wood on the border of the property where the golden sunshines were penetrating through the tall trees - it was just magical. The property is so big that the guests arrived through a separate path then after the ceremony the path lead to the villa. The aperitif was served in the garden near the pool and the dinner in front of the historic villa.We danced in one of the big “salottos” and the enjoyed the music til morning.The fact that we did not need to go anywhere else but just go to bed in the villa was very important to us. The day after we had a lovely brunch with family and close friends.I would highly recommend to any bride and groom looking for a magical place.

The Villa Franchini is the perfect location for a gorgeous Tuscany wedding. The grounds are beautiful and impeccably maintained with manicured hedges and bountiful trees, surrounded by vineyards and mountains leading to the sea. The house is the quintessential Tuscan villa, fit for a royal wedding or a more intimate countryside affair. The rooms in the villa are very elegant and there is plenty of room for family, bridal or grooms party members, and other visiting guests to stay if need be. The owners are a true Italian family who speak perfect English and were so kind and helpful. They made our experience there top notch. There is a true magic to the Villa Franchini that you must experience for yourselves! We hope to go back again sometime soon. Highly recommend! Molto bene!

Villa Franchini is a taste of the Tuscan countryside that's just minutes from the beautiful walled city of Lucca. The villa itself is a traditional centuries old Tuscan villa with giant rooms, tall ceilings, and frescos throughout. We were fortunate to attend an outside autumn wedding here and, ignoring the obvious beauty of the villa and the surrounding views, the space was perfect to accommodate the multiple wedding needs including the ceremony, cocktail reception around the pool, formal sit down dinner, and after party. Outside the gated walls of the villa, but within the protected grounds of the property there was more than adequate parking for the hundreds of guests in attendance.
