Alice was everything we expected — and more! She is kind and generous and very passionate about her work. She is superbly knowledgeable but also super fun. I could not have wished for a better person to show us the beauty and depth of Reggio Emilia food and people. Cannot wait to return!

We got very lucky on our trip to Parma, Italy and I want to share this with others who may be planning their trip. Our family of four (with two 14 year olds) had been put in contact with Alice Rossi for a food walking tour around Parma. Alice proved to be very friendly, super knowledgeable and truly enjoyable to spend time around. She planned an amazing excursion around Parma during which we sampled a variety of different delicious foods, met local purveyors and shop owners, and got a lay of the land in this historic city. She managed to work historical and cultural exposure into the walking tour during well planned hiatuses between eating. It was perfect. I should add that the things she exposed us to, and taught us, went on to give direction to the rest of our time in Parma. The tour with her was outstanding and this helped us to have an outstanding experience in Parma afterwards. We very highly recommend Alice Rossi!!!

Exploraemilia is just A-MA-ZING! We made the Food Tour visiting in a full day a parmesan factory, a prosciutto producer and a tradicional balsamic acetaia, including a magnificent italian lunch in a local restaurant. I must say that the whole experience was beyond our expectations. Alice is a wonderful guide, extremely knowledgeable, fun and passionate. We won't hesitate to make another tour with her!

Alice was absolutely amazing! We truly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend it with no hesitation.She has a wealth of knowledge and her passion for local produce and food genuinely shines in her tours.We are a family of four with young children and had asked Alice to tailor a shorter tour as we feared that the kids might lose interest. How wrong were we! Alice did an amazing job of keeping the kids engaged and entertained and of stimulating their curiosity and interest for artisanal food. Both the cheese and the traditional balsamic vinegar producers we visited were small scale artisanal and sustainable and the products utterly delicious!We didn’t want the tour to end and look forward to catching up with Alice again when we’re back in Parma!

Our food tour with Alice was amazing and a highlight of our 10 days in Italy. It was so awesome to see the care and dedication that each of the three producers take into creating an amazing product. Seeing parmesan reggiano being born, the years needed for traditional balsamic to be ready, and how parma ham is cured was so awesome and so interesting. Alice was a great tour guide, knew so much about the process for each of these. It was also awesome to be able to talk to her about what we had experienced in country so far, Italian culture, ideas for future trips, etc.

Alice is absolutely our favorite tour guide we’ve ever experienced in 40 years of traveling. She’s vivacious, charming and completely knowledgeable about Parma and the amazing traditions, history and gastronomic delights of the region.
