The Island of Wonders, Body Rafting Center

Unique and exhilarating experience. Travelling down to the hidden gem of alcantara, you are greeted by the team and are able to change into a wet suit. There are toilets nearby to change and a hose to help get into the wetsuit.You have a quick safety briefing then walk towards the gorge. You enter and walk down several steps to get to the gorge. You are guided against the current with the expertise of the guides up to a certain point where the body rafting with the current will begin. The current is fast but you have an opportunity to practice body rafting in the safety of a slow current. Our group consisted of two couples and two guides, Antonino and Davide - who were able to instruct us in both English and Italian.Overall a great experience which I would recommend for those who like to undertake more adventurous activities on their holidays.
