Academya Lingue

I spent 11 beautiful weeks in the amazing school of Academya Lingue. Without any exaggeration these were my best weeks. Every day when I got up in the morning I was waiting to study italian. The whole atmosphere of the school is so friendly that it feels like you are in a family. I started as a total beginner so it was my first encounter officially with the language. Thanks to the best teachers I could have asked for during my time, it was an amazing journey to start to get to know this beautiful language. The teachers are so supportive, encouriging and patient and they create an atmosphere where you feel safe and not afraid of making mistakes and the classes are accompanied with lots of fun and laugh. Besides learning the language we had the opportunity to get to know more about Italian culture during the classes and the amazing city of Bologna and also can get to know the nearby cities as they also organise programmes after the classes.As you are learning in small classes you can get to know people more and make valuable friendships.Andrea (the founder of the school) created an exceptional place and thanks to him, from the first time when you enter the school you feel that you are in the right place. He cares so much about every student, greets everyone in the morning with a smile and helped us whenever we needed and you can feel how passionate he is about what he is doing.Before arriving I wouldn't have thought that it would be this hard to leave, but on my last day I felt that I never want to leave the school, all the people and the city of Bologna. I left with tears but with the hope of returning one day and meet again.I can't thank enough everyone from the school for this lifetime experience.

I am really happy wtih my 4-week course at Acamica Lingue! The classes are small, so you get a lot of help from the teachers. All the people at Academica Lingue is also very friendly and does not hesitate to help you if you have any problems. I learend a lot more italian in 4 weeks than other friends of mine that have attended other schools.I can strongly recommend this school if you want to learn italian in a nice and friendly enviroment. This school exceeded all my expectations.

I had three wonderful weeks at Academya Lingue this summer! The teachers were all really friendly and professional, I made new friends from all over the world and above all, managed to improve my Italian from A2 to B1. It was a perfect start to my Erasmus in Bologna and I feel much more sure of myself now when speaking Italian. Thank you very much for this experience, Andrea!

Excellent, immersion-style language school. Motivated instructors with small classroom sizes. This is my second week at the school and I am very pleased with the professional, yet relaxed, approach to language learning. I highly recommend this school for learning Italian. I joined after a suggestion of a friend who had a great experience -- she became a B2/C1 level in Italian after 4.5 months, starting at an A1 level.It is a supportive environment, conducive to learning.

The best of the best in language immersion schools in all of Italia! Don't be shy, don't be nervous, don't be afraid of learning and expanding your skill level and knowledge of Italian culture. The smart, dedicated, lively, patient, often funny teachers (all college educated with Italian as their native tongue) gathered by the enthusiastic and learned director of the school, Andrea Bernardoni, will absolutely win your heart! I stayed for a month and cried large alligator tears when I had to leave. Sooooo, before I could even unpack when I got back to the US, literally 4 days ago, I was working on how to return for another month...ASAP! I celebrated my 65th birthday in this glorious city of Bologna known by 3 nicknames: La Dotta (The Erudite, the oldest university), La Rossa (the red buildings and also for its open-mindedness), and La Grassa (The Fat One, for the unbelievable food). Ooohhh, the friends you will make....from all over the world...

My boyfriend and I spent 5 months in Bologna, 3 of which we studied at Academya Lingue. The school felt like a big family, not in any way stuffy or corporate - every day was a joy learning Italian and enjoying coffee each morning with fellow students near Piazza Santa Stefano. Every teacher I had during my time there was incredibly kind, patient and knowledgeable.
