Excellent Tour!!! Our guide, Stefano is from the region and really knows his stuff about the vineyard and the wines. He took us to several little mid-evil towns that I had never even heard about. Such a great day. I highly recommend to anyone with an interest in seeing the Piedmont wine region!!

So we go on this truffle hunt, we find three truffles and we go back to Stefano's house where his lovely wife cooks us an amazing meals incorporating the truffles.What more do you need to know?Stefano is beyond passionate for his region and it shows. He is incredibly helpful explaining the wine of the region, the styles, the food, you name it. Our two days with Stefano flew by. We had a blast tasting wine at multiple places in the Barolo and Barbaresco regions. Our meals were all terrific. He was polite and professional and a great driver/guide with very good English.Do yourself a favor, don't just hire a driver. Hire a guide. Hire someone who cares. Someone who won't bring you to only the big commercial wineries.Stefano brought us to two brothers in Barbaresco who have a small but tremendous operation. It may not be the newest machines, or fancy basements with multi-million dollar barrels, but it was real. It was a farm. It was natural. They cared and it showed. That's what happens when you have a guide that knows his stuff.Our week in Italy was highlighted by our two days with Stefano. We had an absolute blast and you will too.
