Immerso nel verde, gestito da una proprietaria splendida, è un posto splendido per stare nella natura a pochi minuti da Lucca. Lo amo!!!

Abbacca-la is located in the mountains not far from the beautiful town of Lucca. The road from Aquilea upwards is somewhat steep and winding but tarred and easy to drive. On-site parking is available with two spaces directly at the building and several others directly behind the motorized gate.We stayed at Abbacca with two families. With four grown-ups and four children (2-5 Years) and the appartment was just big enough for one week. The kitchen and the living room are sufficient, the bathroom and the two bedrooms upstairs are pleasant and the stairs are equipped with a child gate. The outside dining area is very nice and tidy, directly in front of the apartments.The pool is on an elevated terrain and a plain “above ground type” one with a wooden entry. The pool area is rather bald and neglected - sufficient for a quick cool down and fun with kids but not very inviting. The garden shower has seen better days, the whirlpool was out of order and a nearby open shed displayed clutter.The host left an ambivalent impression. The welcome started with the warning message, that large groups tend to cause problems and we felt mistrust. Nevertheless, we were able to book and got eight sets of towels, beach towels and two set of keys. During out stay the contact was mainly positive with little chats but when we asked to use the wood burning pizza oven, she strongly suggested not doing it. At the end we were allowed to use it twice - but at a hefty fee of 25€ for each session. At the end, the pizzas came out great and the host even provided us with fresh basil and a free dessert - but also with the message to leave the place spotless.We spend an enjoyable vacation at Abbacca-la, but there was room for improvement. Being on vacation, I want to experience a welcoming and more relaxed environment.

My family stayed at Lella's farmhouse Abbacca-la" for a week. It was a wonderful week and an authentic Tuscan experience. We have three young children and were still able to relax and enjoy the property and its surroundings. The views from the home are amazing
