Florence Institute Of Design International

I graduated from the Master program of interior Design in December 2018. Located in the heart of the renaissance city, being surrounded by the marvellous art scene. The school offers a great program for interior design. The environment is very friendly with great diversity of well educated young professionals from all over the world which created a healthy competitive environment. from the one to one teacher student interaction, to the passionate professors, and the exposure to various design fairs, the school helped broaden our creativity. I highly recommend this school.

This is a rigorous interiors graduate program, with stellar professors and a unique student body from all over the world. The variety of experiences and prior education that these international students brought into the classroom was a very rich experience. The campus is in a safe area, with unique historical features in the interior that make the learning environment superb. The integration into the city and surrounding area through the art history classes and special field trips was also an impactful experience and very well organized.

I joined FIDI’s three-year, interior design course in August of 2019 with little to no knowledge of interior design but knowing I wanted to pursue a career in this field. Three years later, and despite the pandemic, I managed to obtain my bachelor’s degree with an internship offered by FIDI soon after my graduation. During my internship, I was offered a job by one of the leading studios in Florence and I wouldn’t have felt so prepared to apply and take such a job without the education FIDI had to offer.

FIDI is a wonderful environment to choose if you are looking for more of a one-on-one teaching style, in which case all of the teachers know your name, and walk hand-in-hand with you and your projects. The school is located perfectly in the center of the city so it's very easy to navigate and find your way to it, no matter where you are placed in the city. We covered all programs and many forms of design, such as furniture, lighting and acoustics. The small community there is so comforting for those doing a big move abroad alone. The friends that I've met there are my new family that I'll never forget.

In 2014, I graduated from the Master of Interior Architecture. Now that I look back, I can say that the education that I got is very well prepared for my professional life. Each of the professors is very successful in their field and the training received from them is very valuable. After my training, I helped my 5 friends to apply for FIDI and they were very pleased. You will never regret studying here.

This is truly an incredible school. It has such great culture and personality. The teachers are wonderful and the courses are fantastic. I graduated a 3 year Bachelor program with FIDI and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! Over the course of your time with FIDI you will not only learn the skills you need to start your designer journey, but also create some great connections with your professors and fellow students!I was among the few unfortunate to have my last year and a half tainted by Covid-19. I couldn’t attend my graduation in person after 3 years of hard work and dedication. Naturally, I returned back to Italy for a little visit after the situation calmed down a bit and I was met with this wonderful surprise. My studio teacher Eleanor, and director of the school Marc met me at the next door coffee shop with my reef in their hands. It was such a thoughtful, and special moment that I didn’t even know I was ever going get! At that moment felt that my studies in Italy were truly accomplished, and recognized! Thank you for that FIDI!

We've worked with FIDI for a number of years and have never had any problems with the programmes nor the staff. A great school in a great location of Florence. The complete three years of my Bachelor Degree course at The Florence Institute of Design International was an amazing experience since day one. It doesn't matter your background and/or prior knowledge in design because the school offers a complete and useful program which covers all areas needed in order to start your professional life in the area. Moreover, we had different workshops which helped us to go deeper into subjects, like Furniture and Product design, 3d Printing, Architectural Detailing, and Art History which can take place inside the museums and make you have a better understanding of the Renaissance, which as we know, Florence is the perfect city for that.

Ich kann FIDI wirklich jedem, der mit dem Gedanken spielt, Sich dort zu bewerben, wärmstens empfehlen. Ich habe dort im Dezember 2020 mein dreijähriges Bachelor Studium abgeschlossen. Sowohl die Unterstützung durch Lehrer, als auch die Bandbreite an Gastvorlesungen und Ausflügen waren unübertrefflich. Auch während der COVID 19 Pandemie habe ich mich zu jedem Zeitpunkt bestmöglich unterstützt gefühlt und konnte mein Studium ungestört fortsetzen. Ein weiterer Faktor der FIDI so einzigartig für mich gemacht hat waren die schön gestalteten Räumlichkeiten und die zentrale Lage im Herzen von Florenz.

Estudar no FIDI foi uma das melhores e mais importantes escolhas da minha vida. Foi a realização de um sonho, tanto profissional como pessoalmente. Viver a cidade de Firenze, aprender com professores maravilhosos, escutar palestras de profissionais reconhecidos mundialmente, fazer amizades para a vida, vivenciar experiências incriveis... tudo isso fez do meu ano maravilhoso e único pra que eu me formasse com a certeza de que cumpri uma importante missão e me tornei uma pessoa muito melhor. Todos os jovens deveriam vivenciar essa experiência de morar fora e estudar numa instituição incrível como essa. Só tenho a agradecer pois sei que daqui pra frente tudo será diferente para mim!
