Palazzo Mosela alla Porta

If you are looking for a QUIET place to sleep, this is the WRONG place. Though well located at the entrance of the old town, it has a few bars and restaurants downstairs whose attendants will make noises, scream and talk loudly throughout the night. We were booked for 3 nights but after a terrible first night, we decided to change hotels. Unfortunately, hotel staff was unhelpful claiming that the city was having the Bravio festival, which “they were unaware of (as told by Andrea, the manager) and therefore they did not warn their guests in advance. We have requested the refund for the 2 nights (340 euros) which we did not use, but until now we have not heard from hotel management. My advice is simple; stay away from this place and be skeptical of other positive reviews that could be misleading

We had an awful experience with another hotel in the area, and came to Palazzon Mosela alla Porta and they were able to get us a room very last minute. The person working at the front desk was very helpful and kind. The room was charming, had a beautiful view and was very clean! The breakfast was also very good. Great location and easy walk to the public parking lot. We highly recommend staying here! There is no elevator but it was no problem for us.

A Palazzo is situated just near the city gates on the main walking street.Easily you can walk to visit Montepulciano.Rook is big and clean. We had also a second room like a small living room with a great view on Tuscany's hills.If you close double windows a normal noise from the road is really minor.As is February, in confront of other structures in Tuscany a room have great heating.

Camera accogliente, pulita e profumata. Lenzuole coperte asciugamani ecc.. puliti. Bagno pulitissimo e funzionale, personale accogliente e disponibile. Colazione in un altra struttura abbondante, c everamente di tutto. Prezzo adeguato. Posizione ottima.Consigliatissimo

When we got to the property we spent 10 min looking for the front reception lady. At night it was really loud from the people on the street (it’s located on a main road, close to the gate and their windows are not good at soundproofing anything)The room we stayed in had a door that connected to the one beside it, I could listen to the full conversation our neighbors had as well as hear them snore...If you are looking to get a good nights rest after a long day of exploring and are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you.Breakfast was ok, nothing special, cold cuts, cheese, cereal, some fruits, the coffee was great tho !Location of the place is great for exploring the city and proximity to parking.View is great too.

Very noisy hotel - you will not be able to sleep!Even after Booking.com demanded the hotel to refund us based on a dreadful experience that prevented my family and me from having a decent and quiet night of sleep, the management of this place refused to do so. Be aware of this hotel. I recommend to avoid it any situation.

My stay was PERFECT. This place is amazing. From the location and fast accessibility to restaurants and bars, to the warm feeling of traditional rooms with views to the fields that will have you wanting to stay longer. The staff was amazing and very attentive, they were very accesible and answer to my question within minutes. The staff provided great recommendations and treated me like I was at home.Stay here, you wont regret it.

Very nice place in Montepulciano. Easy access to everything. We enjoyed our stay.

Very noisy hotel - I couldn’t sleep and had to leave the hotel after my first night even if I had a Booking for 3 nights and the hotel refused to refund me. It seems you are sleeping inside a bar full of people.The management advised the reason of the noise was because local festivities that they said they weren’t aware which is impossible to believe when is something that happens every year.I feel a serious hotel would praise for a good service and guest satisfaction which clearly is not what this one is praising for.I’m a frequent traveller and not fussy, but this was my worst experience trying to sleep in a hotel.I also doubt if the hotel is quiet when not having local events as it is just in front of many noisy bars.My advice, stay a way from it if you want to relax
