Extra Virgin Cooking Classes Lucca

Our family had an amazing time in this cooking class. Giuseppe is a wonderful host and chef, extremely knowledgeable and connected with the food and history of Lucca and the Tuscany region. He took us on a wonderful shopping tour before we return to his lovely home and perfectly appointed kitchen. We tasted and learned about olive oils, focaccias, wine amx Prosecco and learned cooking skills and techniques. It was great fun to learn about Giuseppe‘s life and passion for cooking and get to know the other class participants.Great balance of cooking, guiding and enjoying food and conversation. Highly recommend!

What a delight! Chef Giuseppe walks you through the streets of Lucca to gather ingredients for the cooking class in his home. The setting is exquisite with the table setting fit for royalty and the kitchen prepped and ready for students to watch, participate and learn from Chef Giuseppe’s vast experience. He is an encouraging teacher and this will be the best 5 hours you will spend in Italy.

I highly recommend this cooking class. It is one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. I loved the small class size, going to food shops before the class, Giuseppe’s beautiful kitchen and elegant home, his tutelage and hospitality. He was also very accommodating. And the food we prepared was delicious! The company (other people in the class), the music and ambiance of the dining room all contributed to a very memorable meal! Grazie Mille!

I’ve been a participant at “Extra Virgin Cooking Classes Lucca” 3 times now. Each time I have come away with skills, methods, recipes, and information that I use in my home kitchen. Chef Giuseppe is a patient and gifted teacher! The setting, the experience and the food is all exceptional, as well as the interesting new friends made while preparing and then sharing Pranzo (lunch) together. I will be back!

Amazing! Just spent the most wonderful day attending this cooking class. The experience far exceeded my expectations. Chef Giuseppe took us on a short walking tour in the historic centre, gathering fresh ingredients for our class. We were welcomed into his professional kitchen at his lovely home & prepared authentic Tuscany recipes (while sipping on Prosecco). We ate our creations in his elegant dining room & finished with a perfect espresso! Delizioso! Ciao to the great group of people I met today. This is a must-do experience if you are visiting Lucca.

What a wonderful day with Chef Giuseppe at his beautiful home. The class was interesting and Chef was very informative. Our lunch of gnudi and risotto with truffle butter was preceded with a simple lettuce and tomato salad but with a delicious surprise on top...raw artichoke hearts that Chef Giuseppe sliced so thin you could see through the slices! We ended with a delicious dessert of fresh fruit in cream. Again a lovely day. You will not be disappointed if you spend the afternoon with Chef Giuseppe. Don't think too hard! If you are in Lucca and looking for fantastic instruction on Tuscan cooking, the Extra Virgin cooking class is a must! Giuseppe is warm, inviting, and above all else, a marvelous chef. The beautiful decor of his home is only outdone by the beautiful creations you make with him.

My wife and two friends signed up for this cooking class not sure what to expect. It far exceeded our expectations. It was more a complete Italian Experience. We were surprised when he took us into his home for the class. The home was beautifully decorated. The cooking was a great experience only exceeded by the eating of the food. Giuseppe made us feel like we were old friends who just stopped by for a meal. We will definitely repeat the experience next year when we return.

I traveled with friends and family to Lucca, all of whom love to cook. When they suggested signing up for a cooking class, I was lukewarm but agreed to the experience. Our day with Chef Guisepee at the Extra Virgin Cooking Class was the highlight of my trip to Lucca! From the moment Guisepee met us in town to shop for our ingredients to the last sip of our post-lunch espresso, the day was perfect! Guisspee is not only an excellent tour guide and master in the kitchen, but also one who attends to every detail creating a cooking and dining experience. The day he curated not only surpassed my expectations but made me a convert that a cooking class while traveling is a must do! Thank you to Chef Guisepee for a magical day and an unforgettable experience.

Beautiful day! Delicious food. Fun class. We learnt so much about all parts of food and wine in Italy. Giuseppe is an excellent host, teacher and tour guide. And his home deserves to be in Vogue. Loved it.
