Artigianato del Merletto 'Da Rita'
At about 10m from the ferry station is this shop situated. The owner was rude and unfriendly. She seemed completely hostile to us tourists searching for souvenirs from this beautiful island of Burano. I am specially writing it here, so that the owner can perhaps realize her shortcomings and strive to not spoil the beauty of Burano.

The products are from China but they cut the part that says it, the lady at the shop charged me 48€ but made a “discount” at 40€ if I payed in cash. With the rush of the boat leaving you can’t really check for each tag in each item, too bad they decide to scam. The blouses are the same but over 150€ each, so rather keep in mind it can be more of a trip amulet and your willingness to help the store during hard times than an actual handmade piece of Merletto. Really sad to know they treat this badly the little people who are willing to help them.

Una truffa. I prodotti sono cinesi e rivenduti a prezzi altissimi: 55€ per un top cinese.. bella lavorazione a mano" nel negozio dopo il prezzo era 29€ top identico ma almeno c'era l'etichetta sulla vera provenienza del prodotto.Per non parlare della maleducazione del personaleServizio pessimo sconsiglio a chiunque"

Ne surtout rien acheter dans cette boutique ! Je viens de me faire arnaquer. J’ai acheté un haut à 65 euros. En rentrant je l’ai inspecté dans les détails et cela m’a semblé être de mauvaise qualité (fils, coutures...). En quelques recherches de hauts en dentelle sur internet, j’ai retrouvé le même modèle (motifs, coupe, étiquette, bouton de fermeture...) sur Amazon à 8 euros !!! J’aurais dû m’en douter quand la vendeuse m’a sorti un sachet plastique entier et rempli d’une quinzaine de hauts du même modèle pour me trouver ma taille. C’est tout simplement fabriqué en Chine et envoyé à Burano pour être vendu 10 fois plus cher !!! Une honte !!!!

I confirm what others have written: the clothes sold are not handmade, but bought from Chinese shops (like Shein) and resold at exaggerated prices. Unfortunately I didn't see the reviews and only at home I found the label that says made in china". I was very upset ... they are just scammers thieves"
