AVOID THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL SCAM YOU! RUINED MY VACATION!I recently had a highly disappointing experience with Budget Rental Car during my trip to Italy, and I strongly advise future customers to steer clear of this company. The extent of their unprofessionalism and overcharging left me utterly disappointed and frustrated.During my rental period, I had meticulously adhered to the terms and conditions, returning the vehicle in the same condition as received. To my dismay, Budget Rental Car charged me a staggering 1.400 Euros more for repairs of pre-existing damage on the car (obviously, they do not report every scratch in the contract when they handle you the keys, and the employee minimized when I notified that their vehicle condition" page wasn't accurate).This shocking overcharge left a sour taste in my mouth and has significantly tarnished my perception of this company.BUDGET ITALIA DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE IN BUSINESS!Upon contacting their customer service

Search the Avis reviews for this location for accurate descriptions.UPDATE-after returning home discovered that the agency charged me for 2 separate car rentals for the same days. After a long phone call they realized their error and deleted the erroneous rental.and again UPDATE-8 months later I just received notice that the second car rental that wasn't mine has been sent to collections. Thanks guys

Not the best experience.We rented a car here. It was a seat arona with 2 fuel-systems, normal petrol and CNG gas ( metano in Italian). CNG gas is a very rare fuel to find at any petrol-station, especially in Italy.The people of Budget only fueled up the petrol system of the car, the CNG sytem stayed empty. Not knowing this because they did not explained this at the counter when collecting the car we drove.Only with the petrol-system filled up it gives the car a range of only 110km, so every hour we needed to fuel the car, nevoursly searching for a petrol station before it was empty, a very romantic activity to do on Valentines- day.When calling the lady of budget a few hours after we left for her explanation she said: 'it has a range of 230 km only on petrol, do not use the CNG gas system', this was wrong, it only has a range of 110km on petrol.The lady on the phone was, like most Italians, very rude. I am sometimes wondering how this country can still excist when clearly the people that work really don't want to work and not want to give you any service as a customer.We brought the car back more early because of the unpractical car they gave us but most of all the rudeness, and the total lack of service and explanation at this Budget rental location. Untill we never meet again.

Super sketchy added coverages I did not agree to and while rushing me. 640 turned into 1k rental with deceptive tactics.

We sometimes use rental cars. This agency, and particularly Carlo, were absolutely excellent. Professional, prompt, and courteous. A really good experience. On the basis of our experience in May 2023 we would recommend this agency to anybody wanting to rent a car.

My experience here was mediocre because I know of the many tactics car rental agency use. I got the car I needed at a fair price. Becareful with the agreement when they demand pre-authorisation on credit card and be patient.I booked a car on Expedia with automatic transmission but this agency only had manual which is expected in Europe. I took it anyways.After waiting 30 min for the agent to serve customers, the process took 15 min for me to obtain my car. Knowing the many tactics car rental agents use, I asked for clear explanation when they demanded a 124€ credit card pre-authorisation for petrol in case I didn't re-fill the tank. The agent claimed that 124€ to re-fill is the same cost for me to re-fill by myself. The invoice showed the balance due as 124€ so I insisted I don't owe any money (pre-paid on expedia) and I will re-fill the tank. After many questions, she reluctantly re-printed the invoice twice to eventually show I owe 0€ and I ensured it was only for pre-authorisation on the terminal when I entered my credit card PIN.Examine the car before leaving!When I re-filled the tank, it only costed me 45€ for 70% (so a full tank would be 65€) which was half of the cost the Avis agent claimed.Re-fill tank yourself. Examine car before leaving. Ask questions.

Worst company ever. They say something online and something different when we arrived. They are a completely unorganized, unhelpful and rude. Avoid this company at all cost.

Less of a review, more of a WARNING about our experience. BE CAREFUL when renting a car from this location as we experienced a SLASHED TIRE, which led to STOLEN ITEMS just 5 minutes from this Avis/Budget location.My husband and I rented a car here and experienced a flat tire within 5 minutes. We thought it must have happened due to the cobblestone streets. We tried calling the Avis road side service number provided to us and the automated menu did not work and would not lead us to an customer service agent. We also tried calling the rental office and no one picked up. So decided to put the spare on ourselves and return to the rental office for a new car. During our efforts, various people were distracting us and in such distraction RAN OFF WITH ONE OF THE BACKPACKS from the car!! Upon returning to the rental location to get a different car, one of the men in the garage took a look at the flat tire and automatically knew it had been slashed. We had become victims of a scheme!The rental agent mentioned THAT SUCH INCIDENT HAS HAPPENED BEFORE and they have stopped mentioning it to their customers because they do not want to scare anyone. However, I would have rather heeded a warning then experience what we did.Please travelers, BE CAREFUL! Do not let what happened to us happen to you. Be careful of your surroundings. And make sure you call the road side service number before leaving the rental office to make sure the number works!
