Fonderia Artistica Valese

Beautiful little store with a great selection of bronze door knockers, statues, masks, and other trinkets. All of the products are made in Venice at the foundry with the same name. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Great quality. They offer three finishes. Natural, renaissance brown, or ancient greenish brown. Go here if you want a traditional Venetian souvenir that will last forever.

This is the original store, any other is a good or bad copy, Valese’s brass is manufactured in Venice Cannaregio and goes back decades. A proud gondolier will choose the ornaments from Valese - an institution not to be missed for all brass lovers

A great place to pick up a quintessentially Venetian brass door knocker or other brasswork. Very high quality goods that are reasonably priced as well.

The shop owner, she was very good to provide info about the work if the artist who was her husband.
