Italy UNFILTERED

We visited Italy a few weeks ago and were staying in Seina . We met these ladies at the hotel that were just on a great wine tour and had a great time. They gave me the information and I emailed the availability on a wine tour the next day. Deb replied back right away and had room for us on a Brunello Wine tour . That was incredible with such short notice, we were really happy we could get in on this tour because it is one of our favorite Italian wines. Massi came the next morning and picked us up at our hotel. Started the tour going to our first winery. We tasted some wonderful wines and had some wine and olive oil shipped home. Then went to Montalcino for a little tour of the town and ate lunch at Alle logge Di Piazza. The food was amazing. Then went to our second winery San Lorenzo and met with the wine maker Luciano, what a awesome guy. Simply awesome wines. After that Massi took us to a small beautiful town of Pienza. There we bought some locally made cheese and some Gelato. After that Massi took us sight seeing on the way back to Seina. Thank you Deb and Massi for your excellent knowledge and service. It was truly a highlight of our vacation. We want to go back.Jeff and Pam.

Deb and Massi provided us with an unforgettable experience which exceeded admittedly high expectations.It has taken us a while to write this review but as my wife and I were reflecting on our honeymoon, we realised we had not yet given our thoughts on the private day tour, including lunch, run by Italy Unfiltered. To put that right, we'd like to say a huge thank you to Deb and Massi for showing us a range of vineyards, from intimate to larger scale production, sharing with us their vast knowledge of the region and putting on a mouth-watering picnic of Italian culinary delights overlooking picture-perfect Tuscan valleys.We enjoyed a month in Italy in August 2017 and were fortunate to experience many high points, this day tour was right up amongst the best.We came away with no doubt that we had savoured an authentic part of Tuscany delivered beautifully by Deb and Massi. As well as the day tour, we were lucky enough to recruit their services for a private taxi ride from the Tuscan countryside to Cortona. Throughout, the customer service was exemplary. We hope to return one day and would have no hesitation in opting for an Italy Unfiltered experience. We have also recommended the company to anyone who will listen since our return to Australia!

My husband & I just came home from 2 weeks traveling across the Netherlands, UK & Italy. We were only able to spend 1 day in Tuscany & it was with Massi from Italy Unfiltered and it was probably the most memorable part of our trip.I started talking to Deb, a co-owner of Italy Unfiltered & Massi’s wife in Jan/Feb and I had every question under the sun to ask her. I’ve never been to Siena/Tuscany & so I truly needed her recommendation on trains, hotels, rentals, restaurants, etc! She was so great a getting back to me quickly & with amazing guidance. She also was also able to locate the exact spot of a few Tuscan photos I sent her from google images – she’s that good! She & Massi crafted our tour tailoring it to the vineyards & scenic spots we most wanted to see + some surprises of their own.We stayed at Deb’s recommendation of Hotel Palazzo Ravizza (separate review for that amazing hotel) & met Massi in the lobby. We boarded an extremely comfortable Mercedes passenger van. This private van was so convenient because we left our waters, cameras, jackets & purchased wine / olive oils on it as we toured different vineyards.Massi was kind enough to not only be our private driver but he also volunteered to take photos of my husband & I at each spot. We will truly treasure these photos!Massi stopped a few times on the side of the road for a photo op because he grew up in the area & knew the best spots. Massi’s knowledge of the area & his rapport with the vineyard owners made us feel like we were extended family just in for a visit.It was an amazing day that flew by – this tour was wonderful with just the 3 of us & I’m sure it would be great with a bit larger of a group. If you end up taking the tour, do not be shy & make sure to chat with Massi! He was the 100% the BEST part of our tour!

With last minute request Deb helped us visit Pisa and our very best was San Gimignano. We enjoyed everything the vineyard as well. Massi was great, pleasant and very kind. I would give them more than 5 stars.

Deb and Massi were nothing short of amazing. From the first email I quickly recognized that Deb had a passion for Italy and could tell that she would share that during our travels with Massi. She was quick to respond, answered all my questions (many, many, many questions) and always made me feel like a friend. Massi picked up my wife and I in Florence at our hotel and took us on a private winery tour. He stopped along our travels for breath taking photos (he is an excellent photographer as well!) as we roamed along the beautiful hills. I highly recommend reaching out when you are in Italy next as being with Massi will be the highlight of your trip.

Deb and Massi know how to make your time in Tuscany fantastic! My cousin used their services last fall and came with high marks, Deb and Massi hit a home run for us! We took a private all day wine tour in the region south of Siena. We visited 2 wineries run by 2 young women for their parents. My wife and I learned so much about the wine making business and oh yes tasted some great wines. Massi drove us for the tour his English is excellent. Deb arranged for lunch at a hilltop restaurant with a 360 tour of the rolling hills. Based upon our schedule we were lucky to get a booking with Italy Unfiltered only 3 days after arriving. If you want to see Tuscany, Deb and Massi are the ones to turn to.

Freshly home from yet another tour with Deb & Massi & once again, they blew me away! I could never consider having a different wine tour guide in Tuscany. This time they helped me arrange a day of winery tours for a retreat I was leading & every member of my retreat just adored them as much as I do. Knowledgable, on-time & attentive to every need, kind, and generous. They're truly the best at what they do, and I for one am so grateful for the memorable experiences I have in Italy because of them!

Italy Unfiltered or Deborah and Massi were our tour operators for the Tuscany wine region. From the moment I e-mailed them, they were super responsive. Needless to say, their communication about every detail was leaps and bounds above any other company I contacted. After doing some research, I sent them my list of wineries that I wanted to visit in three regions (Montalcino, Montepulciano and Chianti). Deborah was very collaborative in giving me her feedback on my list and making recommendations of her own. The itinerary Deb & Massi helped design was MUCH MUCH MUCH better than anything I could have researched on my own and am very thankful for it. While on tour, Massi, our driver, was very knowledgeable and helped explain the traditions in spectacular detail of each region we visited. He showed us views of the Tuscan region only locals would know about (as he is a local). We made some unplanned stops along the way that were definitely worth it. The wineries we visited were GOLD! If you love wine and being in a beautiful place with a personable driver, you NEED to go with Italy Unfiltered. I've taken many tours around the world and within the US and Deb & Massi blow them out of the water. I can't say enough good things about these two amazing souls. Loved every minute and would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend to anyone! Thanks again Deb & Massi! We will cherish our experience for years to come!
