Mugello&Tuscany di Carmen Badiali

My husband and I absolutely LOVED this tour! It was an absolute highlight of our time in Tuscany. We especially loved the cooking class at the end of the tour. The chef was super passionate about his food which really came through in the dishes we ate. It was by far some of the best italian food we've eaten. We were so impressed. All in all this tour exceeded our expectations and we'd recommend it to couples, singles or families. There's something for everyone to enjoy.

Absolutely amazing experience! The family were so lovely and friendly and we even managed to find 90mg of truffle! The 3 course meal was delicious and cooking it was just as fun.

We had an amazing day with Mugello &Tuscany di Carmen. We were welcomed by our host Carmen, our guide Mauro and the star of the day, the truffle dog Gina! It is in a lovely setting and you can stay here also because it is a bed and breakfast too . We had a very nice walk into the woods, where Genia immediately started to find the treasured truffles.Our chef Cristian taught us how to make pasta and gnocchi from scratch. We all participated in the meal preparation. It was delicious. This is an experience you will cherish. If you are driving back to Florence be sure to take the Bolognese road. Amazing views of Tuscany.

Bravo Carmen! What a tremendous day we had in Mugello. A combination of truffle hunting, cooking school, and dining was the perfect combination. Meeting Mauro who had such passion and love for his work and joy with his beautiful truffle hunting dog Gina gave us a true understanding of the truffle hunt. With their expertise and time of the season, Gina found both black and white truffles which we later enjoyed. Local chef Christian brilliantly instructed us on how to make several different types of pasta and our skill level was later enjoyed with the truffles rounded up on our hunt. Carmen, Thank you again for an unforgettable day!

This was my favorite thing that we did on our trip! We went on a pretty easy walk to the truffle hunting area and then went on a loop through that area. It wasn’t strenuous or far. We thought we would be lucky to find one truffle, but Gina the dog went to work and found us about 300 g!When we returned to the house, we prepared three types of pasta with a chef instructing us. Then he prepared the sauces and served us. We thought that was it, but then he brought out a beautiful Tuscan-style steak - so save some room. Everything was delicious! One note to know: water and coffee were included but wine for the meal was a separate purchase.Paolo was very helpful with the Italian-English interpretation and arranging transportation for us. If I were returning to the area, I might look at staying at the rooms in this agroturismo for 2-3 days.

The Truffle hunt and cooking class was an amazing experience and something you can do with everyone. Carmen and her team are so personable and make you feel like you are part of their family. Chef Christian really shares his passion for cooking with you. Highly recommend this tour.

What an amazing experience we had! Carmen and her team have put together the perfect day for those who want to combine truffle hunting with a cooking class and dining experience. I will recommend this to everyone I know who plans a holiday in beautiful Tuscany.

We had an incredible day hunting for truffles and cooking with the team at Mugello & Tuscany di Carmen Badiali! Our tartufai, Mauro, and his sweet dog Gina (who is very good at her job!!) took us on a walk through the woods where we found many delicious truffles and also mushrooms. We then had a wonderful experience with a local chef, Matteo, learning the art of homemade pasta. We made several different kinds of pasta - gnocchi, tortelli and tagliatelle- that Matteo cooked up into an absolutely delicious meal with the truffles and mushrooms we found in the morning. It was hands down some of the best and freshest food we have had on our vacation to Italy. The entire team was so kind and took very good care of us. All in all an amazing day - we would highly recommend this!

Amazing truffle experience!! We did the hunt with the dog, we cooked 3 different kinds of pasta from scratch, we made the sauce and enjoyed the meal with a great wine and beef. The staff was amazing!! Totally worth it.

We had a wonderful time with the horseback riding experience! It was extremely affordable and everyone was so nice and helpful about all of the accommodations. It was a very personable experience and we felt welcomed the entire time! We had a wonderful lunch and met some nice furry friends, and then went riding on the countryside. The views were breathtaking and we would love to return! highly recommend! ❤️
