Ruzzini Palace Hotel

Sitting on Campo di Santa Maria Formosa, the Ruzzini feels open and airy from another era. Our suite with a king size bed had two large windows that opened to the Square just below. The decor looks of a royal home! The suite was large and well appointed, with bathrobes and slippers too. There was a desk work area in one corner of the suite with a hot water kettle and two comfy side chairs by the windows to watch the people or have a glass of wine.Front desk staff was very helpful.Included breakfast I’d rate at 5 of 5. A large spread of choices including scrabbled eggs and the assorted meats, cereals, waffles, pancakes, fruits, quiches, fruits, veggies, cheeses, amazing croissants and muffins and Philadelphia cream cheese blocks! The coffee, tea, juice station was nicely set up and they even had Prosecco. The waitstaff at breakfast was very attentive to every need and so kind.Great location walkable to St Marks Square , the Grand Canal and the Rialto Bridge. They also have taxi (via boat and canal) service, just in the lobby, directly to/from the Hotel.Would definitely stay again the next time in Venice.

EVERYTHING about this stay was PERFECT! The room was gorgeous, huge, clean, very cool with AC, and totally silent, even though it overlooked the plaza. Best of all, every member of the staff speaks perfect English, was kind, professional, and tremendously assisting, all like concierges. The front desk reserved me a boat taxi ride. Then when I was notified my ferry ride to Croatia was canceled, the front desk called the ferry line for alternative ride information and reserved another taxi. Very helpful!

Beautiful hotel in a great location! The staff is amazing. Everyone bent over backwards to make our stay outstanding. Cannot say enough good things about the Ruzzini Palace

The location is perfect. Just a few minutes walking to Rialto Bridge and San Marco Square. We got lost everyday though (happily) and it was safe to wander about in the evening. The room and the bathroom are spacious, very clean. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. It is very quiet. The breakfast is fresh, delicious, more than plenty, and beautifully presented! We spent 4 nights there and they had new stuff every morning. The service people are amazingly nice and friendly. As we needed to leave very early, the hotel arranged a private water taxi to pick us up at 5:30 am and took us to the bus terminal. At the dock, we met our personal car driver who took us to the airport right in front of the entrance. That was so considerate and saved us a lot of trouble! Love this hotel! Strongly recommend it to everyone!

The hotel is good - an old palace so the furniture and fittings are old charm, the bathroom is renovated and modern. Location is good. Reception staff are unfriendly and unwelcoming - with an indifferent attitude.

Very clean room with fascinating view especially when full moon, but unfortunately there was too much noises from the corridor very early of the morning before 8 o’clock, we couldn’t sleep. Takes 9 to 11 mins walking from “Fondamente Nove” so prepare yourself with light luggages to go up and down the stairs to reach there.

Although the room was beautiful and very clean, the shower needed some repair (the nozzles splashed in all different directions), the wifi was very slow and the coffee and breakfast were average.

Excellent hotel. Has a water entrance, so take a water taxi and avoid taking your bags up and down the steps of Venice. Air conditioned rooms make it comfortable in the summer.

Breathtaking rooms with many splendid touches befitting a former Palazzo. The Piazza view is simply incredible while still quiet at night. Attentive staff. The complimentary water taxi to Murano is a great experience and there is no obligation to buy at the factory.

We enjoyed our stay! Convenient location with water taxi service to the hotel entrance. Great service, clean, with good breakfast.
