Hotel Certosa di Maggiano

Ho scoperto la Certosa di Maggiano per un pranzo al ristorante della struttura (Nov. 22). Ho avuto una bellissima esperienza. Cibo eccellente e personale gentile e disponibile. Location fantastica (hotel e parco) che consiglio per un soggiorno rilassante e immersi nella nature delle colline toscane.

Sono stato lì per una cena di coppia,Il menù è abbastanza soddisfacente,Nelle foto manca l'antipasto che nel mio vaso era una tartare di manzo (buonissimo).Il primo piatto mi ha un pò deluso, le tagliatelle non erano legate bene e poco condite i carciofi sapevano di poco e più nello specifico nel cercare di fare la cosiddetta cremina non hanno fatto ritirare il sughetto, il secondo primo era un bottone con mortadella e crema di pistacchio che poi si sono rivelati tanti bottoncini e non ripieni al suo interno perché come da foto erano scomposti.Il secondo era molto buono nel mio caso era la carne di cervo ottima, morbida e cotta al punto giusto, l'altro secondo era una tagliata buona anche quella ma con qualche nervetto di troppo.Il luogo è stupendo da visitare.

We stayed here in March 2022 and so the hotel was tranquil and we had very peaceful times. View is amazing,breakfast is perfect(I am Turkish and breakfast is important for me), cocktail is very good and you can walk Siena(15-20 min). I hope we will stay again in summer months.

One of the most exciting hotels I've ever visited. It's located in the building of an old monastery, and it preserved many of the vintage elements. At the same time you have here all the modern conveniences. The staff is incredibly welcoming, and the service is just perfect. It has a great restaurant with delicious breakfast and dinner. The wine list is also very wide and reasonably priced.I'd like also to acknowledge an outstanding bar with talanted bartender and great crafted cocktails.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Certosa for eight days/nights. We had very high expectations coming into the stay, and even these were exceeded. Can’t recommend this place enough.The strengths include the tremendous staff (who fall all over you to make sure you have whatever you need, including taxis, restaurant recommendations and reservations, and regional / day trip itineraries), the restaurant (which could more than stand on its own two legs as a fine dining establishment in its own right), the location (perfect for daily excursions into Siena and day trips throughout Tuscany), and facilities (the pool, grounds and building are all stunning).We took a cooking class with Chef Maicol that I can guarantee is better than anything you could get elsewhere in the region. His professional pedigree is strong and the dishes he taught us to make were exceptionally tasty and fun to make. We had a blast with him!Poolside drink service was constant and we were always surprised with fun and new drinks from the bar.Lorenzo, Christiano and Alessia were kind and thorough at the front desk, always making sure we had restaurant rear reservations and that our rooms were properly tidied.Michelle regularly went above-and-beyond in ad hoc service requests, including restaurant recommendations and plans for day trips (including a lovely lunch outside Pienza at a place she knows).We had massages in the room that were a steal at €90/hour.And the food and wait staff in the restaurant - for breakfast, lunch and dinner - were incredible.I think it’s safe to say that we are “Certosa people” now! Can’t wait to come back.

This hotel is beautiful.From the moment you walk in, it is clear a lot of effort has been paid to the attention to detail. It has a beautiful vintage meets rustic aesthetic (with carefully placed decorations & ornaments/mood lighting/plants/perfumed scents/jazz & classical music), the breakfast and dinner was perfect with a variety of choices and the courtyard and pool areas were beautifully presented and well-maintained.Extra credit must go to all staff members, they were all wonderful and went the extra mile to accommodate our family throughout the entirety of our stay. We had a newborn baby with us but felt everyone was very understanding and very welcoming.Despite being at relatively close proximity to Siena, there was no disruption from noise/air pollution.This place is magical and we highly look forward to returning again in the future. We have already started recommending a stay to our friends & family! (:

We had a great 3-night say at Certosa di Maggiano. Words can't describe how beautiful this place is. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the staff was tremendously welcoming and helpful. Oh, and the restaurant is amazing, too. We look forward to a return visit.

We had an amazing time here! Came for our honeymoon! The staff were incredibly warm and friendly, the restaurant and the wine list were fantastic, and the room was amazing! Great location and worth every dollar. We will return here every chance we get!

this place is a must if you’re in the area! from the incredible architecture, attention to detail around every corner with the decor, to the impeccable service — hands down my favorite place we stayed during a two week jaunt around italy. the food & drinks were top notch too. if you’re looking for a place off the beaten path overflowing with charm, this is the place for you!

A charming retreat on the outskirts of Siena (but still close enough for easy access to the centre). I’d highly recommend this place; from the outset we were received by friendly and outgoing staff who just want to help. An eclectic mix of individuals working there, who added to the charm. Enjoyable evenings were spent having dinner at their fine-dining restaurant overlooking the courtyard of the former monastery. With plenty of choice and good quality food. The grounds and pool were amazing (lots of places to relax - both indoor and outdoor) and a shout out to Michelle and Andrea who provided a great itinerary for us to explore the Tuscan hills, and all the staff who were always ready with recommendations for places to eat. The hotel is a relaxing, spacious and beautifully presented place - much of the rustic charm of the former 14th century monastery has been retained, yet provides every modern comfort.
