Hotel Livingston Ortigia - Siracusa

Abbiamo soggiornato per 2 notti, consiglio a chi deve raggiungerlo in auto di chiamare prima l'hotel se ci andate nel fine settimana, l'isola é chiusa al traffico non residenziale e rischiate di avere delle multe! Loro vi daranno un pass per poter circolare in tranquillità. Abbiamo preso una camera con balconcino vista mare, incantevole! Davanti a questo hotel potete visitare il museo del papiro, non hanno posto auto sorvegliato, ma si può parcheggiare all'esterno tranquillamente...il ragazzo che ci ha accolti ha provveduto a tutto! Dal parcheggio ai bagagli ,davvero professionale. Reception impeccabile.La camera é piccola nonostante abbia un bel balconcino, dotata di tutto, forse un pó buia la sera. Bagno grande e con jacuzzi ( che non funziona) e fa solo da doccia.In bagno manca la presa di corrente ( portate una prolunga) perché davanti alla presa c'é l'apparecchietto per il phon e quindi se vi serve la corrente in bagno bisogna che provvediate così.Lo specchio per il trucco é magnifico!Non ha areazione o almeno se c'è é silenziosissima! Armadio piccolo ma ha tanti cassettini nei comò, attenti alla cassaforte a volte fa le bizze! Basta cliccare per qualche secondo ENTER e si ristabilisce! Frigobar abbastanza pieno di bibite! Tv funzionante e comoda scrivania con seggiola.La colazione é ricca, ma i croissant e le altre brioche ve le servono loro prendendole dalla cucina...sono fredde e stoppose, non potete scegliere cosa prendere! Il piatto ve lo compone la cameriera a piacere suo! Se ci andate dopo le 8 non trovate neppure il burro... colazione salata e dolce. Tutto sommato va bene, anche se un hotel a 4 stelle dovrebbe avere un buffet degno di nota.Dall'hotel si può raggiungere il cuore dell'isola a piedi! Non é consigliato usare la macchina!Visto che c era un balconcino vista mare avremmo voluto tanto che ci fossero delle sedie e un tavolino per potersi rilassare al meglio! Comunque ci ritorneremo presto! Lo consiglio.

Quando entri in una stanza d'albergo, a prescindere dalle stelle e dal prezzo, e senti odore di pulizia, il bagno lucido, la camera pulita e senza polvere in giro... è a posto. Tutti gli altri commenti sono inutili. Siamo capitati qui per caso ed abbiamo scelto questo albergo per stare solo un paio di giorni ma siamo rimasti molto colpiti dalla cordialità del personale e dalla bellezza di aver dormito in una stanza fronte mare con il rumore della risacca delle onde come sottofondo notturno. Perfetto e senza prezzo.

La posizione è privilegiata e con vista unica. Il personale cortese e disponibile.L'hotel in realtà però non è un 4 stelle ed andrebbe rinnovato e ristrutturato. Tante cose non funzionano e non c'è un bar.Non ci sono in camera le istruzioni per l'uso dei servizi e se ci sono, sono errate come per la cassaforte trovata chiusa e senza tastiera sulla quale digitare un codice.Non sono riuscito a far funzionare la jacuzzi e neanche il telefono.Per le auto, si avvalgono di un garage privato che costa tanto e ti porta 2 macchine a mezz'ora di distanza l'una dall'altra.

I have to say this was an excellent location right on the sea wall with the sound of the ocean to waft you to sleep. The room was spacious. We had a junior suite with a beautiful window overlooking the sea. Upon arrival, the staff was incredibly helpful and cheerful at check-in. I believe the gentleman who checked us in his name was dominico. He was lovely and even walked down the street to see where we parked our car to see if we were in a legal parking zone which we were not and suggested the valet parking, which I think is the safest bet. The breakfast was very adequate. A good variety and the staff once again were extremely friendly. I only gave a four star to the room because the room need a little bit of TLC but otherwise was very adequate and we were very happy with our stay

I don't usually give reviews but because of Francheska the hotel manager i decided to put one out there. The hotel couldn't be better located, right at the waters edge with the sound of the sea to lull you asleep. We booked at the last minute, and asked for a sea-view which we didn't think we would possible get, but Francheska managed to get us one and squeezed us in to stay there for the duration. She is an unbelievable person, wouldn't me carry my bag, organised outside activities for us at the drop of a hat. The hotel is absolutely fine, very comfortable, and the breakfast was good too. We had an issue with a cold shower, which was quickly rectified and had no problems after that. The roof top seating/view point is great to sit in at night, with glass around to block out the wind, and you have a birds eye view of the sea, siracusa and the ships coming and going. Would go back to the Livingston Hotel at the drop of a hat.

Beautiful hotel right on the water in Syracuse! There aren't a ton of amenities here but the rooms are clean and nice, the staff are friendly, and there are hundreds of things to do and places to go within walking distance. Highly recommend staying here if you are in Ortigia!

You wouldn't know it from the outside, but this is a little gem of hotel! The rooms are gorgeous, with high ceilings, lavish wallpaper and beautiful balconies. The man at the reception is also extremely patient and helpful!

The reason for the 1 star is the complete contempt for customer security and protection shown by the hotel. Our neighbours came into our room having mistaken it for theirs, but they were actually able to get into our room because the hotel had given them a master key that opened every room in the hotel. When we asked the receptionist about it they admitted they knew it opened every door. They switched the key for another but we tested it again and it was still the same key just with a different fob. A mistake you can forgive but the fact that they lied about changing it is just clear contempt and deceit.When we came back to the hotel after a day out we found our door had been left open all day by the cleaning staff. We mentioned these issues to 3 septate members of staff and all three of them refused us to be able to speak to management about the issues.In addition, the shower was broken, the safe in our room was non functional, the double bed was just two singles put together that separated every time one of us moved. The heavy bedspread that these hotels have that everyone knows is never washed and most of us remove as soon as we check in, actually doubled as the blanket in this hotel so you were forced to have to keep it on your bed if you wanted to be warm.The location was good and the breakfast was excellent but those are the only two positives we can think of.We were happy we only booked 2 nights here and happy to be checking outIf you value your security and peace of mind don't stay in this hotel. You will not know how many customers have been given master keys.The hotel will be expecting this review and we are sure they will have already prepared an amusing and deceitful response which you will most likely be able to read below soon.

Peccato! La posizione di questa struttura è davvero molto bella, a pochi passi dal centro e con una bella vista mare. Anche la pulizia è abbastanza buona.Oltre questo, però, il resto è da hotel a due stelle e mezzo. Stanza piccola, doccia jacuzzi non funzionante nemmeno come doccia normale, problemi di acqua ed in particolare di quella calda, colazione scarna…Ho contestato la difficoltà di non poter fare una doccia per via dei problemi di cui sopra ed il personale, abbastanza cortese, mi ha messo in contatto direttamente con il proprietario che, devo dire è stato altrettanto cortese e si è attivato subito per rimediare, ma il problema è strutturale per cui non è stato possibile risolverlo del tutto.Se il albergo d’estate hai problemi a fare una doccia, tutto il resto (vista mare mozzafiato, centralità, aria condizionata ok) passa in secondo piano…
