It's a great school, fabulous staff, great learning environment. You are in a beautiful building in a beautiful city, I can't imagine a better way to learn and improve your Italian.

An absolutely great place to learn Italian language!I came as an absolute beginner, and could speak a little bit a week after ;)Special thanks to Melania and all the orga staff who was super helpful and communicative with the students.Teachers Agata and Giulia - are just awesome, positive attitude, patient, encouraging.I would definitely come back! After taking a one week intensive Italian course in the academy I can totally recommend it!The stuff was really welcoming and helpful starting already the day I’ve sent my first email asking for the course until my departure from the academy.I’ve took a normal course in the morning and a private class in the afternoon, where I got the chance to learn grammar, vocabulary, do some regarding and listening exercises but mostly talk a lot! Which helped me to get more confident with the Italian language.Moreover, I got to stay with a lovely host family, where I could practice my Italian after class and eat some good italian home cooked meals!During my week there I could also participate in the extra activities organized by the academy. (From which I can totally recommend the cooking class/dinner) And had also some free time to visit the beautiful Siracusa and its surroundings.It was a lovely experience, that I not only recommend, but also hope I can repeat myself in the future!

Ich war sehr gespannt, was mich erwartet würde: eine wunderschön gelegene, sehr gut organisierte Sprachschule mit wunderbaren Lehrerinnen, immer hilfsbereiten Sekretärinnen und einer richtig professionellen Küche (der Kochkurs war ein Highlight jeder Woche!). Es war leicht, hier anzukommen und sich zurechtzufinden. Und ich fand Siracusa den perfekten Ort für 3 Wochen Sprachkurs! Wer offene und unaufgeregte Menschen, leckeres Essen, eine wunderschöne Altstadt und Katzen mag, ist hier richtig. Ich würde es immer wieder machen und kann die Schule absolut weiterempfehlen.

Absolutely loved this school! The teachers are competent and teaching methods varied. The overall athmosphere was encouraging. Melania promptly sent us all kind of information about our classes and freetime activities. I felt that I was welcomed and appreciated. I do recommend this school for everyone who is devoted to learn Italian.

Wonderful place for adults to learn Italian, away from the main tourist paths, where you can practice daily with locals. The academy provides very small classes - there were 2 of us! - and you truly have the full attention of instructor. Lessons run daily in the morning which leaves afternoons and evenings to explore the town.The accommodation at the lemon villa" is freshly renovated and includes a serene patio perfect for a glass of vino or a local beer during hot nights in Sicily. The Ortygia Island is a walk away and welcomes you with restaurants

I had the best time at The Italian Academy! The school and it's settings are beautiful, the quality of teaching is outstanding and the staff are beyond friendly and helpful. Special shout out to my lovely teacher Louisa who was kind and patience and to Melania, the course co-ordinator who goes above and beyond in making sure you are well supported and looked after. Also to Erika, the intern on reception who every morning would go without saying hello. I miss the school already and can't wait to go back next year!
