We saved our last day of vacation to go to leather stores for souvenirs but kept running into shops that only sold genuine leather products. Finally, I started googling for full grain leather stores and came across this lovely shop where the owner handmakes all of her leather products with high quality full grain leather. Unfortunately since we were flying out the next day we couldn't get anything custom made by the shop owner but were able to purchase a few items on hand to bring back with us to the U.S. that we love!

On our last day in Rome we made our way into Ilaria Martino’s beautiful leather shop. Ilaria was so knowledgable and patient as she helped us create purses for our daughters and a belt for our son. It was important to Ilaria to create the girl’s purse straps that matched to their heights. We corresponded with Ilaria when we were home in the states, through emails with attached pictures. Our handmade leather items arrived today and were just beautiful!

Wonderful shop! The owner made a beautiful bag for me with the leather I selected. She had it ready for me a few days later so I could take it with me when I left Rome instead of having it shipped. Highly recommend for high quality hand made leather goods.

My custom bag arrived today and looks beautiful. I stopped in the shop during a trip in Rome. Ilaria worked with me to customize a bag from her collection that fit my specific needs. Once completed she let me know and shipped it to my home in Germany. Will definitely consider buying another in the future!

I came to this shop and unfortunately did not buy anything because it wouldn’t be ready before I departed. The bags were gorgeous. I just realized there is an e-commerce website so I promptly ordered a bag to be shipped to the US.Amazing shop!! Come at the beginning of your trip and your bag will be ready for you when you leave Rome!

I received a handmade bag from this shop as a gift. The bag is absolutely stunning. Real craftsmanship and care is taken to create their products. They are true genuine works of art. So much nicer than any overpriced LV. Cannot wait to one day visit the shop myself, until then, thank you so much for making such a truly beautiful gift.

I visited Ilaria's shop - Grecale - with a group of friends during a trip to Rome. We all either left with a beautiful bag or worked with Ilaria for her to create a custom bag. In some cases, she was able to create the bag before our flights home and other she shipped to us. I brought my mom back and she also fell in love with Ilaria and her work too. She has such a great sense of what you're personal sense of style is. For instance, my mom was debating certain colors for her bag - Ilaria suggested an eggplant color that wasn't even in consideration, but it suits her so well! She is such a lovely person, was a pleasure to work with and I love my bag. I constantly get compliments on it. I couldn't have asked for a better souvenir from Rome than a custom leather handbag.
