What a meal what a place! Everything tastes amazing here. All hand written menu based on the ingrients. The pork cheek I tried was divine, also the best cheesecake made using robiola cheese.

Very nice Place! Gilda the owner is lovely .... she makes you feel at home!! .....very good menu .. for lunch and delicious Italian breakfast .... is located at Sant’Ambrogio Market ......!!! The lunch is super good everyday new menu with fresh season dishes Tuscan cousin very good alternative for vegetarians!!!

Posto grazioso, decorato bene e molto intimo, ma il cibo non ci ha fatto fatto per nulla impazzire. Abbiamo preso dei ravioli che erano pochi e non buonissimi, idem per delle orecchiette con una salsa di pomodoro insignificante. Peccato perché il locale e la cortesia della proprietà sono notevoli. Ma in un ristorante, si va soprattutto per mangiare.

No one will take care of you better than at Gilda’s Bistrot, that is true. Everyone who served our table was incredibly polite and kind, with the greatest desire to please. The table settings are unique and adorable, homey and floral like an elegant grandma. We came for lunch, and there were no antipasti on the menu, but we were promptly served a sweet little plate of tomatoes instead. Our primi were quite good and were thoroughly enjoyed; it’s a special place, but, it’s inarguably a pinch pricey. For example, 3.50€/head for coperto and a whopping 8.50€ for just two profiteroles!! I understand that you can get away with those prices in some situations, but in the Sant’Ambrogio market I feel it’s a bit excessive.

One of the best place to have an authentic and unique taste for Italian food. The menu has been updated every week. I think it is depending on which fresh ingredient that they could found.Highly recommended and the owner (lady) is really nice and kind. I visited 2 time because the food is amazing! I will defintiely come back here again!

First of all, I need to say that the decoration and curation of the restaurant is amazing. It just hits the spot and reminds me of the visits to my grandmas house, which totally aligns with the vibes of the restaurant, a warm a cozy place to have lunch, while still feeling chic.I visited Gilda with a friend during lunch, we arrived when they had just opened, and we were greeted warmly, I must add, the service is really kind.I’m definitely returning for breakfast, as I’ve heard their pastries are exquisite.

Ottimo Ristorante!Excellent restaurant with authentic delicious, non-tourist dishes. Looks family owned. Beautiful atmosphere. Tables outside and inside. If you want amazing food, this is the place. Service is slow, only a couple of waiters but food is worth the wait! Highly recommend.

Un localino in stile liberty nel cuore di Sant’Ambrogio dove assaggiare piatti toscani molto gustosi. Servizio davvero attento e piacevole. Gentilezza e professionalità.Nello specifico abbiamo assaggiato:Ravioli ripieni di carne con pomodorini perini e cacio ricotta; fettuccine con lupini di mare, porri e olive taggiasche per primi e un collo di gallina brasato ai fichi e riduzione di merlot come secondo. Buonissimi ✨

A must do. I can’t believe this place exists! Anything lower than 5 stars does not do it justice. Hand written menus, great atmosphere, truly authentic cuisine. I’m so happy we had a meal here!

Il menù è quello tradizionalissimo toscano, ma senza antipasti. La preparazione e l’esecuzione sono state insoddisfacenti (tagliolino ai carciofi che sapeva solo d’olio e collo di gallina stepposo e poco saporito) il prezzo assolutamente esagerato per quello che abbiamo mangiato. Il totale per un tagliolino ai carciofi, un hamburger, un collo di gallina (“piatto povero della tradizione”), un dolce e due bicchieri di vino è venuto di 90 euro!!!! Ambiente molto gradevole e personale di sala attento e simpatico.
