First, it was really difficult to find out where is the entrance even using maps. I had to call and ask for guidance.Second, the staff. Was in touch with 2 guys, the 1st was okay but oversmart trying to act like it was the best place on earth. He explained everything about room and facilities at the hostel while checking us in. When he was walking us to our private" room

Not a great hostel. Wasn’t any soap in the bathrooms and the toilets stunk. The hostel dude came into the room at midnight and was playing with the air con remotes. Finally left when I asked him what he was doing. For what you are paying for, terrible. Kitchen was tiny and could only fit a couple people.

I chose this hostel because of the location. I regret it, the bathroom was covered from top to bottom in black mould. I had to leave the terrace door open to get air in the room, which I was asked by staff to keep closed for the comfort of others... Kitchen smelt like Raid and the fridge had a terrible odour, also. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was a croissant and hot coffee from a plastic cup... Overall, I think staying elsewhere would have enhanced my trip to Rome. I would not recommend or return.

Crooks. Please note how their website isn't working, their email is shut down, and they don't answer their phone. There is a reason. If you book a room, then have to cancel 3 months beforehand, there is no way to get a hold of them. Buyer beware.

DO NOT STAY HERE. We stayed in the private room and it was infested with bed bugs. If I could give 0 stars I would. We let the front desk person know and he did nothing and pretended he didn’t speak English. We sent an email and there was no response.

Pros:- Bed and sheets were clean- They let you leave your luggage in a locker the day you check outCons:- Sockets were not working- The most basic thing for a hostel is a lock for the locker. They don’t provide it, you have to bring yours- Bathroom was neither clean nor dirty

It was very dirty, the bathroom in our room smelled like pee and the floors were sticky. The staff regularly left the desk unattended with a sign that said they would be back “in 10 minutes” but would be gone for much longer than that. Gave a 2 instead of a 1 for service because they provide free pastries and coffee in the morning and free wine in the evening which is nice. There are three doors to go through before you get into the hostel, but none of them are ever locked so anyone could walk in. The storage space is just a shed out back, mostly open to the elements. Overall not a great stay, but the location isn’t bad.

I recently stayed at Freedom Traveler Hostel and it was a complete nightmare. To start with, there were bedbugs in our room and when we brought it up to the manager, they failed to take any sort of action to address the issue. We even requested a refund and they were completely unresponsive, telling us they would contact their boss and then disappearing off the face of the earth. Not only did we have to deal with bedbugs, but the room was in a different building from the reception area, which made it quite inconvenient to get to when needing anything from reception.Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the subpar quality of this hostel and the exorbitant price we paid for it. I would not recommend staying here if you value your sanity and money.

We stayed in a private twin room. After reading other reviews after already booking I became extremely paranoid about bed bugs, however after a thorough inspection on arrival and four nights sleep we did not experience any.Our room was pretty standard for a cheap hostel, it did however have a desk. We had an ensuite which was quite dated and small (the door couldn't fully open because it hit the sink). Additionally the wifi upstairs was incredibly slow. The included breakfast was a selection of quite nice pastries (of varying levels of freshness) and coffee, however we did not see the pastries get refilled and so we're up early to ensure we could have some food in the morning. The hostel is located around 5 minutes away from Termini station, so it is easy to access if arriving by train, and is just as close to the metro. I felt the location was the best part of this hostel.I would look to spend slightly more money for some nicer accomodation the next time I'm in Rome.
