Elisa Rizza Moncada - Sicilian cooking class Modica

Elisa is a wonderful and accommodating host. We really enjoyed our time in her home preparing fresh and authentic Sicilian dishes, including parmigiana melanzane, gnochiatte rigate, ricotta raviole, tomato sauce and cinnamon ricotta pudding. We even made everything gluten free to accommodate my allergy! We had the pleasure of enjoying our feast with Elisa and her mother, which made the experience feel like a true Sicilian Sunday lunch. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who likes to eat.

What a great day spent in Modica. My daughter and I arrived by 10.00 am at the free parking lot right across the building where Elisa teaches how to cook Sicilian Dishes in her own wonderful kitchen. From the first minute we felt great in her kitchen. She taught us how to prepare the most beautiful Riccotta pudding dish, an aubergine vegetable dish and how to make raviolis and gnoccis from scratch. We stayed for seven hours, had lots of fun, learned the four recipes, and in the end enjoyed a wonderful meal of our creations. We took all the left-overs home in containers provided by Elisa, and since we left the next morning enjoyed the most unusual but delicious breakfast composed of the left-overs. Elisa was so professional, yet so much fun. She gave us lots of tips about the surrounding area as well. If you want to experience something unusual and truly local, I can recommend spending the day with Elisa learning how to cook local dishes. Price was very reasonable and I can recommend this course to young and to old.
