Booking my transportation through My Tour Trieste was the best thing I ever did! We arrived on a cruise ship in Trieste and needed transportation to our hotel in Venice. Our driver met us right after we claimed our luggage in the cruise terminal. He had brand new Mercedes van waiting for us with cold water at our disposal. After about a hour and a half drive we arrived at the water taxi terminal. I did not know that we needed a water taxi to get to our hotel. Thank God our driver did! He helped us transport our luggage to a private water taxi that was waiting for us. We were then transported directly to our hotel via water taxi. What a fun adventure! There was no way that I could have navigated this all by myself. We’re a family if 4 with 4 suitcases in tow and don’t speak Italian. The water taxi terminal was confusing and congested. I felt so lucky that our driver personally escorted us to our private pre-booked water taxi, or we would have had no clue how to work this unfamiliar system. I felt like a VIP! We had some travel companions who wanted to save a few bucks, so they took a shuttle to the train station from the Trieste cruise terminal, then waited to get a water taxi to their hotel in Venice while schlepping their luggage here, there, and everywhere. It took them 6 hours to get to Venice (they ran into some complications along the way) and when they arrived to their hotel they were aggravated, tired and defeated. It took us 2 hours and we were energized by our adventure. My best advice…don’t be a penny pincher on this leg of your trip. Spend the extra money and save your sanity and enjoy the ride. Let My Tour Trieste take care of it all for you. This is their town and they are the experts. I recommend them highly!!!
