What a wonderful experience!! Podere Casetta is a real paradise, away from the city, surrounded by the beautiful hills of Maremma Toscana. A perfect location to spend a few days. Facilities are good, apartments are clean and the common spaces (terrace with stunning view and swimming pool) are everything one needs for a few days of good relaxation. The hosts are helpful and very kind! Strongly recommended!

È da più di cinque anni che passiamo le nostre o parte di esse a podere casetta un luogo che offre la possibilità di rilassarsi senza annoiarsi. La sig.ra Raffaella e il sig. Graziano sono dei padroni di casa splendidi che mettono tutti a proprio agio e sempre disponibili.Un luogo da consigliare.

Posto davvero rilassante, fuori dal mondo. I titolari sono persone squisite e molto disponibili. La piscina è fantastica e gli spazi intorno sono ampi. Ideale per chi vuole staccare. Il paesino, che dista 10 minuti in macchina, ha tutto il necessario (benzina, farmacia, panettiere, parchetto giochi recente per bimbi, trattorie e il supermercato) oltre al fatto che intorno c'è tanto da vedere. Abbiamo fatto anche una grigliata con amici con la massima disponibilità dei proprietari. Posto ideale anche per bimbi (noi ne abbiamo uno di 3) che non si annoiano di certo. Ovviamente devono piacere gli ambienti rustici. Ambiente pulito. Il prezzo è assolutamente contenuto rispetto a ciò che si ha. Insomma, tutto perfetto. Ci ritorneremo!!

Description says Pool/pizza oven/ponies, but be careful what you think you are paying for!We stayed at this villa as a party of 3 families, from the Netherlands, UK and USA, so our meeting up is a once in a decade and very important to us. The villa looked perfect on paper, with 3 separate apartments and a communal area. The pool and pizza oven were a 'must' given we had several children and an aspiring chef amongst our party. Perhaps I can give the positives first: Private, warm saline pool, AC in a couple of the apartments, in the heart of Tuscany. Rustic and charming, separate apartments for families. Negatives: isolated (unless you prefer that) miles from nearest facilities. Kitchen not great for aspiring chefs, not especially well equipped, no pan lids, cockroach spotted, really poor temperature control on the gas hob, rustic but impractical sinks (near shoulder height in one kitchen) poor fencing for children around pool and pond, lots of steps for children and loose paving, very limited a/c if that is important, loose ponies which are not safe near children (one kicked our toddler by the pool.) We were very kindly told that there were local wines and olive oil to try in our apartment. Unlike every villa we have ever stayed in however, these came at a high price, 23-50euros, oil 18euros. Having spent many holidays in Italy/France we would always expect a complementary welcome basket with basics eg milk, bread, a bottle of wine, Jam etc. After a very long drive, we were sad that there was nothing but bottles for sale. We noticed a horrendous smell within 24 hrs of arrival that the owner Lisbeth had put down to previous guests garlic. In fairness, her partner came by the next day to find a fungating fridge drainage and dii rectify it. Perhaps the most disappointing, and the reason for the review and inability to forgive the minor points above was the owners attitude. When we booked the property, it was advertised as having a pizza oven. It may not matter to some but for our party with a chef, this was a deciding factor in choosing this property out of the many on offer. A couple of weeks before the trip we had an email detailing the owner's offer to provide a catered pizza evening at cost of nearly 400 euros, which we declined as we felt that was a substantial amount for pizza. We assumed we had full use of the oven as nowhere did it state otherwise. On arrival we were nonchalantly told the oven could only be used by the owners on payment of 150 euros per evening. When challenged on this, the owner Lisbeth became somewhat rude and sadly suggested that people who could afford to rent the house would not normally question the fee. We found this to be extremely offensive and therefore chose to eat at authentic pizzeria at a fraction of the price. We highlighted that the description was somewhat misleading, but she stated that due to previous guests abuse she had to put her foot down and was unwilling to move. It transpires the terms had changed since booking and the holiday. Clearly this was a breach of contract, and it was such a shame as her stubborn attitude marrred what could have been a lovely stay. In summary, nice enough place, isolated location, dubious and what felt like money grabbing owners, would I stay again? No. Are there better places in Tuscany? Yes!

... Ormai vengo qui da anni ed è come se fossi a casa mia! La location è particolare, sei in Maremma ma sei fuori dal mondo, vedi dei tramonti che nulla hanno da invidiare a quelli tanto decantati di terre lontane, c'è un'atmosfera mista di antico e di moderno che ti fa star bene. Ecco, questa è la concreta differenza con qualsiasi altro agriturismo (e ne ho visitati tanti, ovunque) : ti senti veramente bene, riesci a rilassarti, il trascorrere del tempo è un piacere

appartamento decoroso ma carente sul piano pulizie ( al nostro arrivo sotto mobili e a correre lungo i battiscopa numerose deiezioni di geco, almeno crediamo, avendo poi visto l'inquilino). viaggiamo con 2 cani, e l'offerta recita ammessi in alloggio e spazi comuni"; questi ultimi "spazi comuni" sono 2 vialetti che conducono agli alloggi
