Hotel Excelsior Venice

Fork Gate.We were yelled at. Twice. Over a fork. A 5 star hotel had their staff degrade us and it took 2 days. 4 phone calls and 3 stops at the front desk to get a single answer…. And that answer was we don’t care. There are nice luxuries but the indifference and price gouging made us wonder why we hadn’t stayed in Venice.

A true 5 Star hotel of old and a wonderful beach holiday - we will be back.Opened the same year the Titanic was build, the Excelsior is a palace of light and sky. Luxury of a by-gone era reinvented for a modern age, its halls and ballrooms are filled with memories of the golden twenties, art deco and a celebration of beauty while delivering a relaxed 5 star experience.Its main attraction is naturally the fine, sandy beach that you can enjoy from the comfort of your own cabana that is prepared for you each morning. The sea is gentle and warm while the pool is spacious.A regular shuttleboat takes you to and from St. Marks and there is no better place to watch the sunset than from the middle of the lagoon.Let the wonderful staff look after you, enjoy the excellent food and experience how daily life becomes but a distant memory floating away on the gentle breeze of the Adriatic.

La struttura è molto bella, però non è giusto ritrovarsi a fare la doccia con acqua MARRONE"; ci è stato detto "per un problema tecnico" ed hanno offerto il cambio di camera .Stiamo scherzando????Un 5 stelle ??? Siamo stati lì dal 29/4/23 al 01/5/23.Mi aspetto quanto meno che un responsabile commerciale ci contatti. Se volete ho anche le foto."

Il lido di Venezia è un isolotto davvero accogliente. Intanto, sembra di essere molto lontano dal caos di Venezia, tra fumi puzzolenti e rumori fastidiosi, sul lido c’è calma, aria buona, sole e tanto cinema! Nei giorni del festival, nonostante ci siano tante persone, non si percepisce il CAOS. Wow!E ora vorrei parlarvi del famoso Excelsior. L’idea di un albergo fighissimo e affascinAnte è più che altro un’idea che una realtà. L’atmosfera all’interno è un po’ retro’, ma bastano tutte le immagini cinematografiche all’interno per essere catapultati in una Cinecittà che galleggia sul mare, coi grandi personaggi che hanno visitato l’hotel ai tempi d’oro. I servizi non sono da cinque stelle secondo me: i bagni sono normalissimi, nessun estro architettonico, ne’ servizi particolarmente moderni. Alla reception sono tutti disponibili, soprattutto quando capiscono che sei un cliente dell’hotel e anche un po’ famoso. Vabbè.La colazione è buona, variegata sia dolce che salata. Anche il ristorante all’interno è buono, pochi piatti ma buoni. La spiaggia è molto grande e da quando è stato sistemato il ponticello per fare un giro panoramico, è ancora più suggestiva.Consiglio una visita sia sul lido che all’excelsior, ma per pernottare la prossima volta proverò un altro hotel.

Favoloso! Conosco la storia di questo splendido hotel e farne parte anche se per un breve momento è davvero un'esperienza indimenticabile!

Very friendly staff except for the Blue Bar bartender. Didn’t appreciate the beach security guard asking me twice if I was staying at the hotel. The place is beautiful, the boat to Venice every 30 minutes is great. The beach was nice, the pool was great and so was the staff there. The room was maintained clean and the breakfast was great, specially the complimentary Mimosas. 5 stars for sure.

Very nice hotel with great service. The decoration was a little dated but everything was still very clean. The food and amenities were quite expensive, but we spent most of our time in Venice so that wasn't a problem for us. The water taxi to Venice was easy to use and very convenient.

I'm writing this on behalf of family currently staying at the Excelsior. Besides the excellent rooms and location, they specifically wanted to extend their gratitude to the hotel for their fantastic service, with special callouts to Lars Isken and Diego Ghidoni. Both these gentlemen went the extra mile helping them settle in with things like getting phones working, recommendations on food, and suggestions for interesting places to visit. Your patience and eager demeanor really left an impression and they've been singing your praises since. Thanks so much for making their stay that extra bit more awesome!

This is the hotel that movie stars stay at when in Venice, Italy. The service was excellent. The rooms were spacious and well maintained and the location was across from the main island of Venice. Just a short 20 minute water taxi ride. It is a hidden gem.
