Experience MY Portofino

I took a tour in late July with Experience My Portofino and it was so memorable that I had to write a review (even if it is 2 months later). I have taken many tours in my travels and Francesca stands out! She went above and beyond, even in the middle of a heat wave! It was not pleasant weather but she took us to little corners and spots that had shade and breezes to make us feel comfortable. Portofino is a charming little place and I am glad I had Francesca to show it to us because she knew so much about it! Pesto is one of my favorite things on this Earth so being able to make pesto in Portofino was something I will never forget. We first made the pesto ourselves, while sipping on some Vermentino wine. When our pesto was finished we got to enjoy it with some fresh bread. That was our pesto appetizer. Our pesto main course was a pesto pasta dish from the restaurant. We had a choice of 3 pastas featuring pesto. I chose trofie al pesto and it was delicious! Thanks again Francesca!!

An amazing holiday to the Ligurian coast was made unforgettable by doing two fabulous experiences through 'Experience My Portofino' - the first experience day we did was the Mountain Bike Ride & Kayaking - as two total beginners (but with a fair level of fitness) to both sports, we were guided down a mountain by the hugely patient Simone from Bike Portofino. Riding through the stunning Portofino National Park was spectacular! We stopped in the park for an amazing lunch then carried on down to Outdoor Portofino where the very knowledgable Guiseppe took us through some basic kayaking. He took us to a private cove for a swim and then out to the lighthouse and then back to cycle into Santa Margherita again - what a wonderful day! The Portofino and pesto making tour was a lot less energetic - a lovely, gentle stroll around with a delicious ending! Highly recommended!
