Amazing self-catering independent houses in a spectacular position in Chianti area. Exceptional accommodation near Siena and San Gimignano especially for families with young children.

Tavarnelle isn't the most beautiful Tuscan villages. We stayed in Apartment Il Pollaio, 1 bedroom apartment, with 1 bathroom, spacious living-dining room, and well equipped kitchen. The apartment is air-conditioned. We had a private grill place at the large terrace outside. The owner very nice and helpful. The garden and the pool is spacious, however there where a lot of European paper wasps collecting water at the pool. The are not interested in your food and drinks and aren`t aggressive but could be important for people with allergies. As usual in Tuscany do you need moskito protection, better to buy it in Italy it helps more than what you get at home.There is a nice restaurant (Borgo Antico) down the street and a couple of stores (bakery, butcher etc.) in the village app. 500m away. A good supermarket is 2km away.
