Cooking with Mathilde was a dream come true!! I would pay money just to tour her gorgeous kitchen, which I want to copy exactly for my future home. Together we made three pastas with sauces, all traditional Leccese dishes but with Mathilda’s special touches and beautiful ingredients from her garden. She is a kind and generous teacher, and even though I have already taken many pasta-making classes I still learned so much from her! Lunch with the family was the loveliest part of my visit in Lecce. I can’t think of a better way to spend time in Italy, and I can’t wait to return to cook with Mathilde again!!

Nothing says authentico better than arriving at Matilde’s magical ancestral country estate in Puglia’s agricultural region outside Lecce. We all know that Italy writes it history in cookbooks, and the estate having been in the family for hundreds of years allowed our hosts to be perfect locals to help understand the area, culture and history.After our tour, Matilde guided us through three of their favorite recipes: spinach focaccia, a local pasta + red sauce, and a apricot tart. Their instructions were easy to follow and instruction was very helpful.Our hosts were were great conversationalists and we had a wonderful time enjoying our finished product together. A must repeat!

C’est un havre de paix à moins de 10 min de Lecce.Une merveilleuse demeure historique et familiale, avec une piscine format XXL qui permet de se rafraîchir après les visites de Lecce.Le petit déjeuner est délicieux et est servi dans un service ravissant.On a pu déjeuner sur place avec des plats préparés avec soin par Mathilde sans oublier le cours de cuisine italienne et dégustation avec Mathilde et Carlo autour d’un bon verre. On recommande et avons hâte de revenir !

An excellent cooking experience in a fabulous 17th century countryside house with the wonderful Matilde. We went through two pasta dishes, and one dessert. Mathilde made her recipes simple and fool proof, they were better than any restaurant we have been to. Utterly spectacular, highly recommend and Matilde was a true pleasure.

This place was amazing. The 17th centuryvilla is absolutely stunning. Staying there inmy opinion is the ultimate experience ofPuglia. Mario was a very helpful host. Hemade sure our stay was great, evensuggested us different places to visit aroundPuglia. Let's just talk about the breakfast.Served by the pool, It was just perfect, thehomemade bread, the jams made fromfresh fruits of the mansion's garden and ofcourse the dessert, a must! Definitely gonnacome back!

My husband, Joe, and I spent a delightful afternoon at the lovely country villa of Matilde and Carlo. The cooking class with Matilde was one of the highlights of our trip to Puglia. It was a relaxing, beautiful setting in which to enjoy conversation and a delicious home-cooked meal with gracious hosts. (Joe said to make sure to add that Carlo is an awesome driver....ha, ha!!)

We all had a great time! Matilde was a great host and teacher! We had lots to eat along with the pasta, ravioli and Tiramisu that we helped make.
