Unfortunately this community made it clear that hachnasat orchim only applies for one type of Jew.I am an American college student usually very involved with conservative communities, Hillel, Moishe house etc. I don't feel comfortable attending services where I'm not allowed to fully participate, but I decided to come meet the community after shabbat morning services to see if I could maintain some connection to Jewish life here in Florence. The Rabbi greeted me with (no hello or anything) You're Jewish? You know
