Secret Venice Tours

A gennaio, insieme a mio marito e a un'altra coppia, ho fatto con Lucrezia un bellissimo tour a piedi di Venezia. Camminando al di fuori dei percorsi più scontati, abbiamo scoperto luoghi nascosti e soprattutto tantissime curiosità sulla storia della città e sulla vita dei suoi abitanti. Lucrezia è una guida simpatica e molto preparata. Consigliatissimo!

Lu is one of the best guides I have encountered. She has a charming personality as well as an easy social grace that allows her to pivot effortlessly between addressing a group and having one-on-one conversations. As others have noted, we felt led by an old friend, not by someone we had met minutes earlier. Lu responded quickly by email and text, easily adapted the tour to our interests, and worked us into her busy schedule on short notice. (We took an early morning time slot and avoided the mid-day crowds!) Her knowledge of Venice was comprehensive, so she teased out intriguing aspects of the city we would never have noticed. I appreciated how she incorporated photos, illustrations, and maps, shown on a tablet, to illustrate what she was showing us. She was competent and highly professional in all regards. I highly recommend her!

We were fortunate to find Lucrezia (Lu) Della Sala & Secret Venice Tours from a review someone else provided. All we can say is, THANK YOU! Now to provide a review in return that will hopefully inspire someone else to book a tour, or tours, with her! This trip was three years in the making and was our first trip to Venice. We conversed with Lu in advance via email to discuss the things that were important to us on this trip. Her thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and the focus on what was important to us, was a surprise and delight. We were very fortunate to book several days and could spend a week learning and enjoying the City of Venice through the eyes of a local, Lu. Of course, she shared the usual suspects, St. Marks Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, the famous bridges, the oldest gondola maker, and the famous bookstore. The real magic for us was behind the scenes. She took us to some of the dark historical places, quaint neighborhoods, secret gardens and provided us with laughter and smiles sharing some of the quirky history too! Her talents and level of care are second to none. She recommended and made reservations for us every night (my husband is particular about pizza, and she found places he loved), and even helped us secure a safe ride to the ship port on our final day. My husband says after three weeks of touring throughout Italy, with many different guides, Lu is by far the best! We are looking forward to our next trip to Venice, which of course, will include tours for as many days as Lu is available!

Ottima esperienza e professionalità, ci ha fatto conoscere posti di Venezia che senza di lei non avremmo mai potuto pensare esistessero! Se torneremo a Venezia la chiameremo sicuramente per altri tour!!!!

Such a great way to explore Venice, I would highly recommend Lucrezia to anyone looking to visit Venice. We we taken away from the crowds and enjoyed listening to the history and architecture of the city. The time just flew by and we were left with a far better understanding of this beautiful city.
