Gelateria Dondoli

Best chocolate ice cream I have ever tried! I also tried pistachios, lemon and one called Italian garden which I haven't seen before.The shop seems to always have a queue but they work quite fast.

Organizzando la nostra visita a San Gimignano, abbiamo letto di questa gelateria e non potevamo non provarla. Di sera la coda non era molta, mentre la domenica pomeriggio è sempre stata piuttosto lunga, ma molto scorrevole perché ci lavorano tante persone. Questo è un vantaggio nel momento in cui si fa la fila, ma uno svantaggio quando è il proprio turno perché non si ha tempo di scegliere con calma i vari gusti, si sente un po' di ansia.... È un peccato, perché c'è tanta scelta e gusti molto particolari che richiederebbero più tempo per poterli scegliere bene. Io ero già decisa perché avevo letto del gusto gorgonzola e noci e non potevo non assaggiarlo! Veramente buonissimo!! L'ho abbinato con Italian garden (cheesecake al basilico con salsa alle fragole e salsa al pomodoro), anche questo molto buono, col sapore del basilico ben presente. Sarebbero da provare tutti i gusti! Il prezzo un po' altino, 3,50€ per 2 gusti, ma temo che quest'estate il costo sarà più o meno quello in parecchie gelaterie! Consiglio di fare leggere i gusti già all'esterno, si può scannerizzare un QR code, ma non è così pratico per tutti e, facendo la fila, non ci si accorge di questa possibilità

Ci sono stata ieri con tre amici, tutti d’accordo sull’alta qualità del prodotto. La fila non era lunghissima e scorreva molto velocemente (c’erano 4 persone a servire al banco). Gusti sia classici che ricercati. Unica pecca la quantità di gelato in un cono due gusti, un po’ tirchietti ma buonissimo ci tornerei senza dubbio.

Best gelato, ever. Very tasty, must try! If you don’t like sweet flavours try something more subtle because the flavours are quite tasty and sweet! The award winning flavours are very unique. The Italian garden is very good, I thought it would be an unpleasant novelty but not at all!!! It was sweet and creamy yet aftertaste of basil! Maybe it doesn’t sound good but it really is! Michelle is also very nice, a beautiful sweet orange flavour, rosemary baby I can appreciate but it was too strong and tart for me. I didn’t really get the rosemary taste, just very strong, tart berries. My favourite was Dolceamaro, other than obviously tasting like amaro, it was a beautiful spiced flavour I don’t even know how to describe it, just very creamy and delicious

Long lineup, reflective of the reputation of the place. They had lots of staff around and we didn't end up waiting for more than 10 min in total. Staff was visibly tired, not really smiling but always polite.Great gelato, interesting flavours. The best flavor for us was the mango with coconut shavings.Highly recommended!

This is truly the best gelato. The prices are reasonable. The reviews tell their story but the flavours are so fresh and vibrant that you'll want to return for more. I have visited this shop a number of times and am never disappointed. There is nearly always a queue outside the gelato is so good. They have been multiple world champion as well.Be careful. There is another gelato shop on the square which hangs on the coat tails of this one. Don't be fooled by their sign saying the best gelato in the world. Look for the world champion and you won't be disappointed.

Gelateria con vari premi nella piazza principale di San Gimignano.Preso il gelato in tarda notte ed abbiamo fatto bene poiché il giorno dopo la coda arrivata a metà piazza.Gelato veramente cremoso forse troppo dolce : crema di Santa Fina, allo zafferano lodevole!

When seeing the long line in front of the store , you might think it’s a tourist trap, but this is just one of the most amazing ice cream places I have ever visited, with crazy flavours combinations and amazing taste. Only regret would be not being able to try all the varieties. The Italian garden flavour was for me the most unusual mix of basil cheesecake, strawberry and tomato sauce, that results in an incredible taste
