Hotel Villa Mabapa

We LOVE Mabapa! Third visit. If you want to do Venice but would like to escape the crowds in a peaceful area at the end of the day AND have a beach just 10 mins walk away, then Villa Mabapa is ideally situated, with friendly & helpful staff, & topped off with a lovely garden. Thank you all at HVM!

We loved our time at Villa Mabapa. Excellent rooms, service, location, and great food! Very close to the ferry terminal and beach!Parking is a bit limited but street parking works for the most part.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Villa Mabapa. Its an art deco hotel, steep in history yet comfortable. We had a triple room with garden view. The single bed is separated from the main bed by a partition wall, giving us privacy. Beds are super comfortable, crispy clean, well air- conditioned with 2 air-conditioning. There is a small sofas, 1 seating chair, 1 dressing table with kettle, also has a small fridge. Please note tea bags are provided but with a charge. Shower is strong with constant flow and immediate hot water. The windows have outer shutter as well as venetian curtain, which ensure a complete blackout for people with light sensitivity. The hotel is situated at the far north of the island, away from the hustle, guaranteeing quiet sleep. We slept so well during the trip.The other delight is breakfast. There are selection of cold meat, cheese, jam, fresh fruits, white and malted breads, boiled and scramble eggs. Also, cereals, pastries, teas, coffee. All good quality and tasty. The only criticism I have is the juice is from cartoon, tasting like squash. Fresh juice or better quality cartoon juice will make the breakfast perfect. The breakfast room is decorated with brass lighting and Murano glass floor standing lamps. Soft musing plays in the background, leisurely eating breakfast, sipping tea, you feel like travelling back in time to the 1920s, not caring for the world.The hotel entrance is lined with tables, shaded by pine trees and canope. Dinner is served here, looking out into the blue lagoon, watching sunset. It is a very romatic spot.Another plus point is the hotel rent bike for free. The bikes are old, little rusty but work well. We cycle around the island, enjoying the sea view, exploring side streets. There are around 15 bikes, some are kiddy bikes. Rent is on first cone first served basis, cannot reserve.There is a free beach around 6mins walk or 3 mins on bike from the hotel. The beach has a lot of shells, not great on bare foot. Water is clean. We came in the last week of May. Water was trepid, ok to dip as it was a hot day.All in all, we would definitely recommend the hotel

Lovely hotel, really nice staff. Great location, really easy to get water bus over to San Marco etc Venice is amazing, definitely a must to visit.

La meraviglia del Lido fuori stagione! Camera pulitissima, silenziosa e con vista sulla laguna. Colazione superlativa. Personale accogliente e presente. Lo sto consigliando a tutti gli amici!

A lovely hotel, on a nice quiet island with lots of restaurants nearby. Just a 10-15 minute walk or short bus ride from the boat stop, and just a short boat ride from San Marco. The rooms are clean and comfortable with all the toiletries you will need and plenty of storage. I had a lagoon view room which was just lovely, you can see the campanile and basilica across the lagoon. The staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast has a good selection. L'hotel si trova in un'antica residenza. La lobby è bellissima con lavori in legno e vetrate colorate. Ci sono tre edifici principali. La mia stanza era nella casa a sinistra, al numero 131. I corridoi profumavano di vaniglia, così come la stanza. La stanza era assolutamente gigantesca per gli standard europei, super pulita, ben arredata e confortevole.Il personale è stato molto cordiale e premuroso e mi ha aiutato con il mio italiano quando ho commesso un errore.Anche la cena nella sala riunioni è stata molto buona. Avevamo una pasta per cominciare, un ottimo piatto di bistecca e patate e un fantastico crumble al cioccolato alla fine.La colazione al mattino era frutta, prosciutto, salame, formaggio, qualche focaccia fresca; tutto quello che ti aspetteresti.~~~~~~~~~~Hotel Villa MabapaThe hotel is in an old residence. The lobby is beautiful with woodwork and stained glass. There are three main buildings. My room was in the house to the left, number 131. The hallways smelled like vanilla as did the room. The room was absolutely gigantic by European standards, super clean, well appointed and comfortable.The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and helped me with my Italian when I made a mistake.Dinner in the function room was also very good. We had a pasta to start with, a very good steak and potatoes dish, and an amazing chocolate crumble at the end.Breakfast in the morning was fruit, ham, salami, cheese, some fresh focaccia; everything you would expect.
