La Spezia is a gateway to the beautiful region known as Cinque Terre. We took a cab to the train station in La Spezia intending to board the train and stop at one or more of the Cinque Terre villages but it was so crowded (April 25), lines everywhere that we decided to spend the day in La Spezia instead.We had a delightful day walking around since the town is beautiful. Plenty of shops, restaurants, a very nice park and picturesque streets.If you want an easy day I would highly recommend staying around, strolling and enjoying this very attractive town.
