My husband and I were desperately searching for a COVID-19 test in Rome, so we reached out to Doctors in Italy. They took a bit (~8 hours) to initially respond. However, once we were in contact with an agent, they were SO helpful. Doctors in Italy was prompt, informed, and gracious.We believed we needed a prescription, but the agent told us to try a local pharmacy first and ask. Turns out, we didn’t need one. We quickly and easily got a test, and Doctors in Italy didn’t charge us for their assistance.I would happily go back to Doctors in Italy if I needed it. Thank you so much!- Two Americans in Rome

On my recent trip to Rome, Italy I ran out of one of my prescription medications. I reached out to my doctor in the states, but was informed that because she was not licensed in Italy I would need to find someone out there to write the prescription.Initially I panicked having zero experience with that type of situation, but if I miss even one dose of my medication the withdrawal symptoms are awful and the rest of my trip would have been ruined so I went online in search of a local doctor.What I found instead was a website called Doctors in Italy. You answer a few basic questions and once you submit the answers it is sent out to the doctors that would best meet your needs. Then links with their information is forwarded to you via WhatsApp and you simply choose the doctor you want. I was able to quickly and easily book a virtual appointment with a doctor who spoke English and within ten minutes I had a prescription (also sent through WhatsApp) along with a receipt to turn into my insurance back in the States.I had to go to a pharmacy to get a covid test anyway so while I had that done they filled my prescription. Honestly it was hands down one of the easiest dealings with a doctor I’ve ever had. I am so happy that I took a chance on this platform. Do not hesitate to utilize this resource if you’re abroad and you need a medical professional.

Approaching a doctor abroad can be really distressing in these uncertain times. I booked an appointment online without previous references. I was seen by an outstanding doctor. Old school, knowledgeable and extremely kind. It was not the five minute matter-of-fact consultation, but a truly helpful appointment with a professional who listened carefully and performed all the necessary clinical check-ups. They also provide an interpreter for those who do not speak Italian.Highly recommend!

My son had a 30-min online consultation with Dr Pieris earlier this week in order to get medical clearance to leave Italy after previously testing positive for COVID while traveling in the country. Overall, his (and my) experience with her was excellent! She was both friendly and professional, very thorough and knowledgeable, and her English was also excellent. Importantly, she was able to provide a proof of recovery letter the same day that was well written and comprehensive, ultimately allowing he and I to successfully return to the US. So in summary, I give Dr. Pieris high praise and am happy to provide her the highest recommendation.

I had a terrible reaction to mosquito bites while traveling in Italy. I reached out to my doctor in the US and she said I needed prescription medication but she couldn’t prescribe it to me in Italy. I did some searching and found Doctors in Italy. I put in my information and requested a video appointment. Almost immediately a doctor offered me an appointment for the time I requested. Once I accepted that I was sent a link to join the appointment. The doctor was very thorough and explained everything clearly to me. She followed our conversation with an email detailing everything and included prescriptions in English and Italian. Filling them was simple. The next day I overdid touring in the heat and developed a terrible rash on my ankles. The doctor had sent me an email to follow up with me so I sent her pictures. She asked me to call her but I didn’t right away so she emailed me to explain that she thought I should be seen at the emergency department. She offered to speak to the doctor there if I went (which I did). She was amazing! She continued to follow up with me which is more than my personal doctor would do. I can’t begin to say how comforting it was to have a doctor who communicated with me in my language to explain everything in detail. I highly recommend Doctors in Italy and Dr. Zainab Ali Raouf!

This service is invaluable as an expat in Italy. From the time I booked the appointment, Consultation appointment via video, and obtaining my prescription, it was about 1 hour total! I’m so impressed and satisfied. My doctor was professional, knowledgeable and patient. She spoke perfect English and was empathetic and reassuring.

A godsend! as we descended into Italy, my teen son experienced ear pain as never before. I contacted doctorsinItaly.com at 6:30a. By 7:45a we had a virtual appointment we could take from our Airbnb and by 9a we picked up very affordable antibiotics. It was seamless and convenient and now we can rest easy for our return flight home. Plus we got a full day of tourism in, because we’d taken care of our medical needs. I am so grateful for this great experience when we really needed it.

Currently in Italy on a ski trip and have come down with a nasty chest infection, was very worried about being able to get antibiotics as in a foreign country, can’t recommend these guys enough, it’s affordable quick and easy to get an in person or online appointment. Our daughter came crying to our hotel room complaining of severe eye pain and other symptoms. We contacted Doctors in Italy through their website and are very glad we did! They contacted us with an excellent primary care physician, Dr Alberto Vaona, who confirmed an appointment in minutes. Within 90 minutes, the doctor arrived at our hotel and examined our daughter. Shortly thereafter, he provided a complete write up of his visit and prescription. As a precaution, he directed us to a local urgent care hospital for blood tests. From what we see and know, the doctor has correctly assessed and diagnosed our daughter's condition.
